@Sound_Demon: So glad to see that most of these are shows that are trying to force "The Message™" down everyone's throat. Go woke, go broke. People are getting tired of this and the indoctrinating and grooming of their children. No need for rebuttal. I've said my piece and won't waste further time on the enemy until I need to. @daihideo: I have to agree. I'd rather play something more realistic, not some fantasy pirate game where my ship has all of that ridiculous spikey crap and a figurehead carrying a mana potion. And what was that stupid island balancing on an island location? SMH... Rockstar did great with RDR2. It would be nice if they did a pirate game.
@mrbojangles25: I'm not religious. I believe the institutions were created to control the population, and I do see a lot of people using it as a crutch. My issue is that something had to create everything around us. What put all of the matter of the galaxies and universe into existence? Where did it come from? What created life and the ability to evolve? That is just the beginning of so many unanswered questions. "It just was" is not an acceptable answer to me from either, the religious or non-religious sides.
@dirtydyk: I think you are misunderstanding. He said he believes in God, but he doesn't believe in these religious institutions. You can live as a good person, pray, believe in God, but also refuse to associate with any churches or other "religious" institutions.
@TLL1969: I spent too much time on BBSs, usually text role-playing Dungeons & Dragons or something. Couldn't really do much more than that back then. I knew a guy who was running a BBS. He had so much crap; racks of modems and things set up in his living room and cables everywhere! I do remember pirating a whole lot of games, but not over the Internet. We had "use group meetings". Some people would set up computers with multiple drives and a bunch of people would come over with boxes of blank 5.25 or 3.5 floppies. Had to use the right 'parameters' to crack them so games would play. We'd spend all day and night just copying things for each other. Also photocopying some pages or whole books for the codes that some games would have you go into the book for, to prove you bought it. Good times!
@TLL1969: My era too. We're old school... Survivors! I started with a Commodore 64, then Commodore Colt, then IBM-like PCs after that. Remember when you had to look for that on game/software boxes... "IBM Compatible"? hehe
