@epross You gotta understand that in the SNES-to-PS1 era, it was pretty safe to make kids licensed games. Yeah, they sucked, but there were enough ignorant grandmas out there that bought the shit that it didn't matter. Kinda like movie tie-in games. Nowadays, kids are much more savvy, and toddlers are easily entertained with an iPhone and Angry Birds. THQ stuck to the licensed junk long after everyone realized it had died off, and probably paid a good penny for those licenses to boot.

@Vambran I think what Mr. Rubin is saying is that THQ shouldn't have worked on an MMO in the first fucking place. they threw mad money at the Warhammer thing before finally tossing it. It's the old saying, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

@jayjay444 EXACTLY. People point to Nintendo's success after dropping the price of the 3DS, but they fail to remember that the price drop was also joined by the release of Super Mario 3D Land, which naturally moved units, being a Mario title. 3rd parties need convincing before they jump on the Vita bandwagon. It's up to Sony to make games internally and generate the buzz so that the thing can get off the ground. Price cuts won't matter if there's no software out there.

@Solace427 This, pretty much. I think we can say safely that 90% of this isn't going to occur, so let's giggle.

I've found that neither the Halo: Infinity shorts nor the Spartan Ops missions were all that appealing. The skits aren't enough to flesh out the story, and the gameplay missions are dull as all hell. I'd rather they focus on deepening the mulitplayer and making an awesome Halo 5.

I'm not sure these here guys understand the concept of PROFESSIONAL. If you're making a damned living playing a game, people expect you not to make it unplayable for others. Hopefully these guys learn something before the get banned from future MOBA games.

"According to public research firm GovTrack, the bill has a 13 percent chance of progressing past committee and a 2 percent chance of being enacted."

In short, this has a snowball's chance in hell to ever result in anything.

@Thisisstupid Pretty much. My guess? Guy's job is in trouble and he doesn't feel confident in his chances for 2014.

@ac1907 Not sure I'd agree that Halo and Call of Duty invalidate Tom's criticism. The fact is that there's a whole ton more on those systems. There are options aplenty on the 360 and PS3 to the point where it's hard to find everything. On Nintendo's systems, if you're not a fan of they're mascots, you're SOL for the most part.

@Achwyn Well, as obvious as it may be to us, sometimes it needs to be said in a way that the legions of Nintendo fans can't ignore. To far too many people in gaming, any criticism of Nintendo is like urinating on the Turin Shroud.
