@jenilya: More the last-gen systems than the Christmas schedule. It was clear that a more modern PC was the lead platform, with very little consideration for the PS4 or Xbox One.
@ecurl143: Depends. Hello Games is venerated now for their dedication to fixing No Man's Sky. If CDPR really make an effort and make the dedicated PS5/Xbox Series X versions dope as hell, while optimizing the hell out of the PC version, the narrative can change fast.
@bingoh: That, I think, will be the lesson learned from this. They were pushing a high-end PC, and while the PS4 and Xbox One are fantastic platforms, they don't have that much raw power compared to PC hardware that has come out since 2013.
@nickpeck36: There's plenty of blame to go around. Investors have a right to know how long their investment is going to take, and clearly CDPR bit off more than they could chew with this game. Also, a "when it's done" mentality doesn't guarantee perfect quality. Duke Nukem Forever, anyone?
The problem here is that CDPR over-estimated their capability and tried to make something much bigger than they were able. That's not the invetors' fault.
