yeah when I hear repetitive missions i decide to pass also. A long and big open world game takes enough to stay focused but I can't also have repetitive missions on top of that.
its likely fine if they can work out all the bugs from the old engine.. its not like you want to rebuild everything from scratch... ancient engines can still work if they adapt them to use new technologies.
Just look at the game Ion Fury, the gameplay is fast as hell and works as good as any modern FPS game yet is using some of the code from the ancient Duke Nukem 3d engine from over 20 years ago... so you don't have to start completely over if you can fix what was broken.
I only played Mafia 2, never the original... if I didn't have much better games in a backlog I'd likely try this game... but may not be worth wasting my time on unless I want to deal with 18 year old gameplay just to get at a decent storyline.
Not saying I'd absolutely never play it either, just not rushing into it because I have a lot to keep me busy currently.
probably aiming more at a 3070 gtx depending on the difference in performance to a 3080 gtx.
Could be worth waiting though for an 3rd party 3070 with their own coolers since it its likely you can probably overclock them to 3080 gtx levels of performance.
Its what I ended up doing with my 970, it was so much cheaper than a 980 and in the end I was able to overclock it to match the 980 very easily.
Depressing show, i stopped watching the last few episodes. Not a fan of all these modern shows and the episodic format, its like a shitty soap opera. I prefer each episode to be unique in some way, its fine to follow a general story progression throughout the series run but a linear episodic formwat is not a format I've ever liked.
Just look at Voyager, the shows main storyline was trying to get home but nearly each episode was unique on its own except for maybe a few 2 or 3 part episodes.
Star Trek Enterprise was edging towards this with some of its longer storylines, like the Xindi storyline was slightly drawn out for an entire season, but it wasn't always fully episodic like crap Discovery.

A practice they in the past would point their fingers at others for doing, now they are gladly doing also. They should add Denuvo to their game now also to complete the cycle of hypocrisy.
Seems the lure for microtransactions was too great... even for these guys who were once praised for being so pure.
So when should we expect them to start embracing game breaking Denuvo DRM and some even more extreme microtransactions like surprise lootbox mechanics?
yeah true, but I think most people who didn't know would just do a quick google search on a console before they spend 300 dollars and would find out exactly if that model is what they need.
I think the ps5 makes sense, its too bad xbox can't use just a simple numbering system...
