I've been seeing reviews for Super Mario World, and it's said to be one of the greatest 2D platformers of all time, so I am thinking of buying it when I can. However, I have the option to get the remake on the GBA, or I can buy the Wii Virtual Console version, and I'm not sure which one to get.

I will be looking at price. I'm pretty sure it'll be very hard to find a copy of Super Mario World for the GBA for less than $8, the price for the Virtual Console version. I am wondering if the expansions on the GBA version are worth going that extra mile and spending extra money for that version than the version on the Wii.

Also, I do like the fact that the Wii version will be on my 32" TV, unlike the tiny screen for the GBA. It was the same way when I played Mario 64 and then played the DS version. I didn't like the DS version nearly as much.

I'm leaning towards getting the game on the Virtual Console due to ease, price, and the game being on a big TV. I am wondering if the expansions on the GBA version are significant enough so I should get that version instead.

I just never liked the idea of a smaller version of the PlayStation systems. The PS2 slim looks like something that can easily be snapped in half. The PS3 slim looks like it'll be more reliable than the PS2 slim, but I like my big PS2 and PS3. I probably wouldn't go for the slim systems if mine ever broke; instead, I'd go buy used units at GameStop.

[QUOTE="TEH_RADIO"] infamous hands down u should rent prototype frist by the way is this your frist PS3 ?primetime08865

Yes it will be. Before the ridiculous price tag kept me away but now it seems like a good deal. And ill rent prototype.

Cool . some great games for frist time PS3 owners (if u are into them) Metal Gear soild 4, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune ( Uncharted:2 is out soon ), Resistance:Fall of Man, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, and for sports games try MLB 09: The Show, once u get your Ps3 add me to your friends list at jetsfan08865. happy gaming :)

Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted, and Resistance are epic, epic games. Those are great exclusives. inFAMOUS and Prototype just seem repetitive and boring.

Well it depends on what system you have. If you have the XBOX360, get either Halo or Gears. Those are good games. If you have the PS3, look in to Metal Gear Solid 4 or LittleBigPlanet. If you have the Wii, try to snag either Super Mario Galaxy; The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess; or, even better, get 2000 Wii Points and buy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, my personal favorite game and one of the best games ever made, on the Wii Virtual Console.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Great mulitplayer, crappy single player.

No. Capcom did a terrible job porting it over to the PS3...

Metal Gear Online is fun. I play it from time to time. Yeah, out of all the games on that list, Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best. It's the second best game I've ever played. The best is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64.

The idea of a PS3 that's smaller than the original just doesn't feel as reliable to me. I have the big PS3 and even the big PS2. My PS2 is still working fine after five years or so, save the fact that I did have to open it up once to give it a much-needed cleaning. The PS2 slim looks like something that could easily be snapped in half. The PS3 slim doesn't look that small, but still small enough. I don't know. I just rather have the bigger PlayStation systems (which I do! :D) because they just seem more reliable.
