@atherworld: You're both missing the point of adjusting movie prices for inflation, it gives a sense for how many people actually went to see a movie.
If movie A made $10 mil spand cost $1 to see and movie B made $50 and cost $10, movie A was actually more successful.
Furthermore, inflation doesn't just affect prices, but what people earn. So no, back when Gone With the Wind was released people would not have paid what we do now, it would have been ridiculously expensive.
$10 today is worth less, i.e. has less buying power, than $10 a hundred years ago, or any other time in between.
@idakooz: No, because Hollywood doesn't adjust for inflation (they only care about the money made, not how many people saw it) and things returning to theaters and the additional money is always counted.

He fails to understand the simple fact that if someone is evil, they can't be a hero and just reminds me of all the people that pretend that monsters in their creation aren't zombies.
