They typically do give away new Xboxes. It takes time because it's still a business and they have to make sure people aren't trying to screw them before they give them a new console.

As long as it's a 360 you can just get the console online and pay to have your account upgraded to Live gold. But if you already paid for a new account while the stuff you want is in a separate offline account, you have a problem.

It's still a pretty well populated multiplayer even though no one seems to like it. I play every once in a while and never have any trouble finding full-ish matches.

Over thanksgiving I smoked two blunts and a gravity bong and played CoD4 online for 8 hours straight. Good times.

Ever since I returned home from school (a few days ago) it seems I'm never killed by anything but the M16. =/ It's definitely a great weapoon, but it only takes a burst or two whether dead on or through a wall and it never seems to miss. Maybe I'm just frustrated, but I'm starting to think it's a bit overpowered.

I own both and I wouldn't get rid of either. Considering how many features the PS3 has out of the box that the 360 charges extra for, the prices are about the same. 360 may even be more expensive if you'll be playing online. There aren't many PS3 games worth getting right now but 2008 is going to be an amazing year for the PS3, so many great games coming to it.

So many amazing games coming to the PS3 this year, but I'll have to go with MGS4.

First off, if you really want an HDMI cable, don't spen $50. Buy the cheapest one you can find. HDMI cables are all the same since it's a purely digital signal so a $50 cable would be no better than a $10.

What you need to consider is the resolution of your TV. If it's a full 1080p TV with a fairly large screen then HDMI is the way to go. But if you have a native 720p like most do, component cables work just fine. Personally, I'd say don't bother with the HDMI. I use the stock cables with the console and the picture and sound are both excellent.

Definitely The Darkness. FEAR is quite possibly the worst game I've ever played on my 360.

I've been using a 37" Sharp for some months now and it's absolutely incredible.
