This game will be great. A very bizarre method of adding a twist to an otherwise typical FPS. Also, it's been confirmed this is PS3 exclusive.

I'd be in Prestige if I didn't have to come back to my Live-less school over the weekend. I'm level 42, first time through.

but windows live still costs $ ps3 online is free. my friend said that he read it in an xbox magazine and ps3 are going to get the game first but then it will be released on the 360 as well. even though i can't see the point in this becuase most 360 owners won't stop playing h3 anyway jaredrichards3

Wherever he read that it couldn't have been official. Ubisoft has said the game is only for PS3 with no PC or 360 versions even planned, let alone in development.

And it's true that Xbox Live does cost money while PSN is free, but I'd be very surprised if Sony didn't start charging for PSN gaming in the future.

Haze is PS3 exclusive. Apparently there was never a 360 or PC version in the making to begin with.

Maybe Australia gets the shaft for the new Microsoft stuff, but over here in the US, Windows Live gaming is actually cheaper than console gaming, even if it does require Vista.

I've owned Lost Planet on 360 for quite some time and it's nothing at all to get excited about.

It isn't the most over-hyped game ever, it's just a differing interest. So you happen to like the original title better than its sequels; big deal. It's happened before.

Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 would be a sweet pair of games for next Christmas. That would probably be a good boost for the PS3, although by then I'm sure it will have plenty of good games about.

That guy is in absolutely no position related to the development and/or release
of the game.

So of course he would know.

I've been playing Gears nonstop for a year and this move felt very undermining to me. From a business perspective I can completely understand why they're doing it. They need something to boost a new version of a previously released game and porting the new stuff would be slow and expensive. Butfrom a company who claims to value fans over business this was quite a slap in the face. The only reason the game is so popular is because of the Xbox 360. Without the revenue gained from the original console a PC version could easily have been scrapped earlier. But it became a huge hit and how does Epic repay the loyalty of millions of fans? By adding quite a load of exclusive material that will never reach the people who payed $60 for the game and $10+ for maps and such. Not to mention all of the people who bought a 360 specifically for Gears of War, who there were quite a few of where I'm from.

It ultimately won't deter me though, I'll still play the game and love it as I have thus far. I only hope GoW2 sets the bar even higher.

I've played mine constantly since I boguht it at the beginning of the year and so far it's all fine. Occasionally the disc tray will act up but nothing that affects how the games and dashboard function.
