Yes its 64 Bit OS Win 7 Premium.
Well, its not a that super greap laptop and its not like a desktop where you can change pretty much any hardware component while on laptop its very limited. So just upgrading whatever I can with something a bit more "performance" wise at least. I know it might not be noticable, but better then nothing lol.

Hello,
I have Acer 8942G with 4096 MB, DDR3 1066 MHz of RAM and i would like to upgrade it to the max capacity which is 8GB. I was looking at Newegg and from what I heard Corsair are very good and I found Corsair Vengeance.

Except when you look at Features section, its says "8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 SODIMM kit for 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 notebooks" and I have i3 330M.
Will it fit for my CPU?
Also, will the higher MHz speed of RAM be compatible for my laptop?

Much appreciated

^ I know, thats what i thought too, but back in the day, i upgraded my rig 2 times and i just kinda simply gave up on that. Not a serious gamer to have constantly upgrading rig you know... Its like buying a car and only driving it in summer and i need for everyday use and versatile. But in general, is that Acer laptop link i sent is it pretty good ? Because it has a pretty big screen 18.4" which is very good for me. But that was a good suggestion though ;)

Best gaming upgrade from a laptop is switch to a desktop.

Hello,
Im fairly new to laptop upgrading and i would like to know if its possible to upgrade my laptop to sort of up-to date upgrades..
Heres my laptop specs:
Acer Aspire 8942G
Intel Core i3 330M (2.13GHz, 1066MHz FSB)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 (Up to 2746MB Hyper Memory)
4 GB Memory (Dont remember which one)
18.4" Full HD 1080P LED LCD

So, my question is, if its possible to replace the CPU for like i7 and GPU for like HD 5870 or 6970?
I would like an ATI card, not Invidia. And can you also recommend me a CPU too please?

Thank you!
