@xbotendonyfanboy: Sony was only the publisher in Japan. In the US, Atlus was the publisher whereas the European versions were published by Namco Bandai (now Bandai Namco). The fact that the game had three different publishers depending on territory is why I'm not holding out hope for a PS4 remaster.
I actually bought this game because it won GameSpot's Game of the Year award back in 2009. I've always been glad I took the chance on this incredibly hard RPG, as the Souls series became one of my favorites over the years. I don't think Demon's Souls is the best in the series, but it's still a fantastic and influential game. I'd love to see a PS4 remake, but the publishing logistics probably rule that out.
The VR version of this is the "killer app" for VR that people crave. I have it on my Rift and it's one of the best games I've ever played. If you only have PSVR and not a Rift or Vive, you should definitely buy this.
Not to sound like a shill, but I have a Rift and Touch combo and they are the bee's knees (is that still a phrase? lol). $600 for a VR headset that is leagues beyond the PlayStation VR headset is well worth it.
No matter how I may feel about the games, Nintendo's marketing for the Switch has been great. Remember when people didn't even know if the Wii U was a new console?
I can't believe I'll actually be playing this game in less than two weeks. Several times throughout its development, I thought the game was going to be cancelled. Mainly, the premise just seemed so unbelievable. I hope it lives up to what's been shown/discussed
