@lionheartssj1: This is going back maybe 25 years, but as I recall you can get temporarily stuck in a lot of places where you have to reset your game, but the only place you could get permanently stuck is possibly exiting a dungeon you have opened up yet and saving, since you couldn't teleport away and that will create a check point.

Still, it's worth it to play the game where you get the fire rod in the beginning instead of the sword. That's a fun way to play.

@lionheartssj1: That's what I plan on doing. Plus if I play the OG cartridge, I can do fun teleport runs.

@USDevilDog: My assumption has always been that they have tried, but Ted Price always refused. I know from past interviews that he likes his team having independence and working on their own things. For example, he originally refused making a Marvel game because it wouldn't be their own IP. It wasn't until he brought it up in a meeting with him team that and they said they were interested that he went back to Sony.
