Here's my list, all detailed and pretty for your reading pleasure: 5) Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX?) I never bothered with playing the first two Metal Gear titles although I'm a big fan of the MGS franchise and am seriously contemplating buying a PS3 just to play MGS4 when it's released (although, based on Sony's history with their consoles, I think the initial batch of PS3's will crap out and blow up like that one Dell laptop in Japan)--mostly because of the fact that I never had a chance to play it. I even skipped it when I bought MGS3: Subsistence (which I recently sacrificed along with a bunch of other games for a PSP) for my PS2. However, there's this sinking feeling that I have in my gut as I write this that, one day, I'll deeply regret not playing either of these games, especially the second title. Call of Duty 2 (PC) As one who considers the original Call of Duty to be the best WWII shooter out there, I figured that CoD2 was a no-brainer purchase. However, since the demo came out, I have reluctantly refused to play the game in fear that my experience will be seriously hindered by my computer's inability to run new and pretty games at 30fps with the bells and whistles turned on. Rest assured, however, that CoD2 will be in my collection come August--the month that I receive parts for a new rig! 3) Final Fantasy VI (SNES, PSX) As an avid fan of RPG's back during grade school, my goal to beat all the Final Fantasy titles was broken by a tight financial budget at the young age of 12, a broken television (actually, two or three sounds more accurate) and an eventual loss of interest in RPG's. However, I keep hearing all these great things about FFVI--or FFIII to those of you who played this game on the SNES--such as how utterly evil Kefka is and how he has no motivation for all the evil deeds he commits throughout the game (my favorite type of antagonist in any story). Reflecting upon these word-of-mouth comments that I heard many years ago, I'm tempted to pick up Final Fantasy VI and run through it just once to see just how good the character development is. 2) System Shock (PC) Doom clone; lackluster first-person RPG. Call it what you may, but I've heard more than enough positive remarks about this series to convince me that this game provides an experience deep and great enough to at least look into. Some say it's revolutionary, and others say it's downright scary as hell--perhaps not in the same way as the allegedly scary games of today instill fear into players. Watching a speed demo of System Shock 2 last night pretty much reinforced my view on this game: to me, it seems like one trippy game that will literally fill your head with eerie voice and basically mind**** you in every aspect. 1) Unreal (PC) Unreal Tournament, Unreal II: The Awakening, Unreal II: XMP, Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tournament 2004, Unreal Championship, Unreal Championship 2...I've played them all. However, one game in the Unreal series, aside from the upcoming titles in the series (ie, UT2007), has been avoided for years now by yours truly: the very first Unreal game. God knows that I have no excuse to not play this game as a hardcore fan of the Unreal franchise, but I just haven't gotten to it. Of the five titles listed on my list, this will probably be the first title I actually get to playing by a long shot.

To me, there's nothing like wasting time while acting like people care about what I have to say...=P I don't care if you love Starcraft, Warcraft or any other RTS franchise to death--Kane is so maniacal and heartless, he alone makes the Tiberium series cool. And let's not forget Stalin and Yuri in Red Alert! The best part is, in The First Decade, you get both of the series (albeit with half-assed versions of the original titles of said series) and Generals all in one package!
