In North America, at least, the community has been looking for ways to help save our community from an irreversible and steeply downhill slope that could kill Q4, Q3, and even the entire Quake series as we know it. Well, I've reviewed this idea of mine, and I find that not only does no one party have anything to lose by trying it, but there are plausible ways in which it could actually work. If you care about the Quake community, the deathmatch community, or even just the roots of the video game industry as well as the e-sports scene, please sign this petition. When enough signatures have been received, I will forward the petition to id Software for them to look at. Please know as well that this isn't the only forum I have posted this at. Let's keep this community alive, ladies and gentlemen. Let's be experimental and do the most we can to save Quake from an unfortunate death.
I'd have to agree with that one. Despite some minor issues with stability, the Radeon 9 series performs better than the GeForce 5 series. Overall, the thread seems pretty good. However, it looks like you forgot to fill in some of the blanks prior to posting it. :P I know that it's a "work-in-progress," but it's better to just wait a little longer to complete the initial posts before posting a thread.
