[QUOTE="GunSmith1_basic"]the wiiU pad could be the pip-boy. They could even have it be stylized to be just like it, with fake cracks and dust on the screen. Also of course they could add scanners and stuff to it. tomarlyn
VATS and maybe lockpicking on the screen would work better too. If they ever decide to port anything I hope its New Vegas with better textures, I've already played FO3 to death (still have a little to get done though).

^^^ Yeah. And maybe a graph of the enemy can appear on the touch screen and then you can simply press the body parts to aim at, when going into slow down mode (VATS). That would be neat. I'm sure more can done if the developers put their mind to it.

[QUOTE="Rod90"]Why don't we start talking about The Conduit again then? :Pbonesawisready5

HVS would love to tap into the extra power of the Wii U so they can boast and say, 'No other developer pushes the Wii U like we do!' I wouldn't mind seeing what they can do.

They were limited on the Wii. Their goal of pushing realistic graphics on the Wii and extensive online, cost them in terms of level design, art direction and the length of single player. But with the Wii U, they can do more of what they want.

I just checked High Voltage's web page. The Wii U logo is amongst the other platform logos that HVS is a registered developer for.

Conduit 2 flopped hard sales-wise so they likely got all publisher support pulled out from under them. I doubt we see an original IP from them for years

Well they are still making games. HVS was behind Kinect Star Wars. Although it wasn't very good, Kinect Star Wars has sold very well. Although Conduit 2 left much to be desired, it's ending was interesting and makes me wander what will happen next. But because C2 bombed, I don't know if we will find out :-(

I do know on the Wii U, you can have multiple accounts on the system. Maybe the accounts of someone young can be set up by a parent to only allow friend codes or turn off online features altogether. Wheareas a teenager or adult gamer account can be more free with their account.

ROFL. Fanboyism at its best. How long are you guys going to live in denial??? Everytime Nintendo is lacking something that is long established on competitor consoles you guys go "oh, we didn't need it anyway". First they dropped it from 1080p to 720p. Then they don't offer a solid hard drive. No they won't offer online multiplayer.

Can I ask you who say that no online multiplayer is fine just ONE last question? Where is the point where you would say: "That's it. Nintendo can go screw itself"?

What if they announced no Zelda for this console generation? Would you try to tell yourself that they must be working on something more important? Or even worse. What if they turned Zelda into a party game? I guess you wouldn't mind either... *roll eyes*

Trickymaster

Denial? The Wii U does have online play, will have sd card and hard drive support, is 1080p capable and will eventually have Zelda. BTW most 360/PS3 games don't even go up to 1080p, just check the back of those game boxes when you're at the store and see for yourself. I know trolls love attention, but they hate being proven wrong just as much.

In the case of Pikmin 3, so what. It's just one game without online play and there may be others. However, there will be plenty Wii U games with online support so I'm not worried about it.

This article and Reggie's quote are still pretty vague concerning friend codes. It's probably best to to wait on official word. Some people are getting disappointed over speculation and vague statements.

That Nintedo Direct Pre-E3 video showed a gamer basically communicating with another gamer (the old man) that he didn't know. If online interaction is anything like the video was hinting at--then we can all relax.

I agree. They need to go!

I agree too. But the proposed set up for Wii U is tolerable (if I'm interpreting the article correctly).

It does sound better, but why do we need still need them?Doesn't Nintendo want to attract the "hardcore" crowd?

They do somewhat. But Nintendo knows they will make money off the Wii U anyway.

Pikmin will still have local multiplayer and possibly achievements. I think the reaosn for it lacking online multiplayer is bull, considering it's been in development for so long, but oh well.
