Boyonetta sold like crap and was unwanted by almost everyone.
There's no chance anyone else takes a chance on it's sequel, it's only going to lose money on one platform.
A lousy exclusive that no one wants.

Didn't it sell about a million copies?
That's pretty good for such a niche title imo.
It also got a lot of critical and gamers' acclaim so I'm not so sure that "noone wants it".
Nintendo publishing it could draw attention from Nintendo gamers and it could do decently on the Wii U.
At it's full price it barely cracked 100K sold
The rest of it's numbers have been 14.99 or lower
"Sinobi, a Japanese blog known for its early sales data, reportedBayonettasold 138,000 copies93,000 for the PS3 and 45,000 for the 360on its day of release in the country.[83]Media Createreported the PS3 version sold 135,242 copies and was the top-selling game during its week of release there, while the 360 version sold 64,325 copies and charted at number seven.[84][85]Phil Elliott ofGamesIndustry.bizcalled the 360 version's lower sales figures "a very strong performance for the Microsoft platform, relative to installed base".[86]The two releases fell to number eight and number 15 respectively the following week.[87]By March 31, 2010,Bayonettasold 1.35 million units worldwide.[88]"
The game released in Japan on October 2009 and then in the US by January 2010. By March 31st 2010, Bayonetta had sold 1.35 million copies worldwide. There is no way it was selling for 14.99 three months after the US release. Bayonetta sold over 1.5 million copies at full price. However it did not get over million copies sold in Japan or the US and it did sell over a million for the PS3 or 360. That 1.35 million is combined global and console sales.
