@megakick The whole idea of releasing a SteamOS is that Valve has been working with devs to port them to Linux based operating systems. They're working to get rid of Windows for gaming, basically.
I don't know why, I don't even own an Xbox 360 and don't plan on getting an X1, but I keep hoping a Kinect game will show up that's actually good and functional. I keep hoping that I will be proven wrong in believing that Microsoft made a shitty decision in forcing the Kinect on their system, as it's proven to be nothing but a cumbersome failure. Every time something like that is announced I get my hopes up for the tech to work, then I get sorely disappointed.
There's a simple answer to this: average, copy-pasted games with terrible storytelling by ANY standard, overall bad visual quality and oversimplified gameplay, but also happens to be backed up by the biggest AAA producer gets a very good score, while other games of similar quality but without the same visibility get the score you'd expect. I'm not agreeing with any side on the issue, but this is only one of the many coincidences that would hint to that conclusion. However, my own personal opinion is that it's simply due to the horrible lack of reviewing guidelines between reviewers: you get Kevin VanOrd and Tom handing out harsh, but in-depth and usually well constructed and justified reviews while you have other reviewers handing out great scores to shitty game because they're popular.
@Morphine_OD @feeblemind77 Woah there, it might have the stylized, cartoony art direction of something slightly akin to Pixar, but in no way does the game compare or even looks as good as a Pixar feature.
@feeblemind77 @enriK233 Well I gotta say I really hate the facial animation of this game. Naughty Dog has shown us another level of quality in video game facial animations that scans currently just can't match. Otherwise, it does bring out the great features of the CryEngine.
@FBohler @iBuSHiDo Well, judging by the reviews, Killzone has at least a great multiplayer experience to offer. Back on score, though, The Elder Scrolls and other Bethesda games are broken and buggy experiences, but are still good because they bring a very powerful atmosphere and alright/decent mechanics. You can't break down review scores only on bugs. A polished, bug-free game that's boring as ****, uninspired and ugly definitely deserves a score below 6. I'm not making any reference to Ryse, from what I've seen it should be a bit higher than 4, but I have yet (not that I ever will) to play the game. I just know it never really looked good and I expected a 5 or 6 which seems to be the average.
@Albaficas Well what do you expect ? The game is old, it's a true feat of strength (or marketing) that Blizzard has kept that large of a user base after so many years of activity. I never liked WoW, or most MMOs for that matter, but you can't deny that it's one of the most successful video games in history.
