@calm_syrface He was referring to the marketing ploy to appeal to a wider gaming audience, in other words hope to bring in new fans. I for one hope DS2 will be a much bigger world, Dark Souls is great game but I wish the levels and world design was like Demon's Souls. Their level designs were amazing!
Well Dark Souls is the better game but only one thing, Dead Island is 39.99 whereas Dark Souls is 29.99. and you could get Dark Souls cheaper from Gamestop or other gaming outlets. Steam would be making out for people wanting to keep Dark Souls. Deliberate?
It's a business move, they just bought the Star Wars franchise, do you think they'll actually keep a company with George Lucas's name that's literally attached to it?
Before the home systems the original gamer was the arcade player. How many quarters you've dumped into those arcade games? Or crowd around a good player that milked a game on a single quarter? Now those were the days!
