Seriously? The recommend AMD processor is the FX 9590? A factory overclocked 220watt CPU that must be paired up with a water block cooler and is about as stable as a unicycle?
Wow... I must be part of the limited 20% then. And I didn't even buy the 3rd one, I got to play that one for free thanks to PSN+ and a very huge download....
So... is this not an unlockable? Pretty sure Konami had said in a past interview that all the micro transactions stuff could be unlocked in the game itself. As a reassurance that their micro-transactions wouldn't side with a pay to win, aspect
What, exactly, is this tactical advantage..... Would it be better than the Stealth armor with it's NVG masking (basing that on the description, haven't experienced FOB's in my game, yet)?
Thanks for the spoiler free response.... I've been putting off the story missions for the most part, likely due to me just wanting to delay the storytelling for as long as possible. Also, could be that I"m still not used to the Kiefer's rendition of Snake. Much would prefer David Hayter's type of delivery.... Though it could just be the dialog itself. Dialog in this game is just too Dry, compared to all the previous games.
Hmm... come to think of it, this game hasn't broken any 3rd walls, has it?... unlike the previous games would always, do.
If no one buys into this, Konami will learn a lesson. But truth is that enough people will buy into this, allowing Kanami to laugh all the way to their bank and crap all over us, true, gamers.
Anyways, I don't think I've even unlocked FOB's, yet.... I'm on Episode 19 and have around 60 hours on the ingame clock, currently. I'm guessing that FOB isn't the same as your main Base. Unless I'm completely wrong on that.... (been avoiding spoilers, for the most part, with this game....though reading comments such as these is a risk that I probably should be avoiding, as well.) All I can say, is that the shield part of my main base isn't unlocked yet... So, I'm guessing that I have no defense team on my main base. Meaning, I can't be invaded, just yet. I'm also gonna guess that if I switch to offline mode, won't have to worry about losing resources, regardless. Only have to log in for a few seconds for the daily reward, is all.
Also, given Konami's track record of killing their servers within 2 years of initial release.... Best enjoy this micro transitions and basic online play while you can..... I doubt the servers will still be up 3 years from now. And when they take the server down.... those micro transactions will amount to a whole lot of nothing.
