Hi, I am looking for a PS2 forum but have not found yet. I hope it is not a problem to post about PS2 here.
My question is: While the PS2 is on, with a disc inside, running a game, and that game says at the beginning that no memory card has been found in order to save, can I put the memory card right at that moment or do I need to turn the system off first, insert the card and then turn it back on? If I choose not to turn the system off while the game asks for a memory card, and insert the card, will it be damaged or will some file get corrupted, even if that file is from a different game than the one that is on at the time?
Thanks, I appreciate it if anyone can help me with this issue. There is a game that I play, which will not play, I don't know why, if the memory card is in its place when I turn the system on. So I need to turn the system on without the card in order to play the game, but I cannot save it while the console doesn't have the memory in it. I do not have this issue for any other games that I play on my PS2.
