The "big deal" is the additional content, and THAT DRIVES GAMERS WILD!

I just recommend getting the GoTY edition when it drops this Fall. Atleast then you'll have a tangible copy God forbid should anything happen to your system.
Prototype's control scheme (issues), repetitive gameplay, lack of depth, excessive gore, difficulty spikes, and overall gameplay became extremely repetitive entirely too quickly.
inFAMOUS on the other hand maintains a good balance throughout the entire duration. The controls are smooth, the graphics aren't to shabby, the gameplay is fun, and it has a great story! The one thing that I dislike is how sticky Cole's fingers are. Sometimes it's a little difficult to land a precision fall while attempting to get a blast shard because Cole is drawn to the nearest object that he can grab on to. Once you get used to it though it doesn't really become a problem.
It's NEVER too late to purchase a game that's as good as Fallout 3 although I STRONGLY recommend holding off until the Fall because Bethesda has announced a GoTY (Game of The Year) edition which includes all of the DLC.
I'm interested, but I'm going to need more informationl. As someone mentioned I'm not going to spend $59.99+Tax for an interactive movie.
Essentially it means that "My boyfriend plays his stupid games all day trying to get those stupid trophies/achievements which keeps him out of my v----a... It's better than birth control."
You get the point.
I'm competitive by nature also and I LOVE the trophy system, but it doesn't influence my game purchases. If the game doesn't have trophies it doesn't bother me just so long as there's plenty of additional content to retain a high replay value. If a game offers trophies then naturally I'm going to continue to play the game until I've obtatined them all. To me adding the trophy system adds more to a game, and it keeps gamers enticed. They're challenges that test proverbial "mad skills".
just put it somewhere where everyone can bask in its glory shine it constantly and then just go to gamestop and buy mirrors edged 30 bucks) MGS 4 (30 bucks) they got alot of exclusives for cheap now

Mirrors Edge NEW is US $25 at Wal-Mart or get it used from Gamestop for the same price. Although I highly recommend new considering there's essentially NO price difference and you get the chance to open the game yourself and smell the plastic and it's newness! Plus there's pretty much a guarantee there's no scratches... although there have been the rare instances, but in any case Blu-Ray discs are hard as hell to scratch up. Not that I try or anything. >_>
I guess I'm the black sheep in this bunch. I think the game is GREAT! I think for the first of it's kind DICE did a damn good job, and as I said before there's only room for improvement. So again I reiterate that I'm anxious to see what's next.
