"when a hole opens in the sky and demons"... aside from that in-eloquent incentive, I do certainly hope there is as marked a return to the "origins" game-style as possible. I enjoyed the second game. but it never had the effect and impact as the first in the franchise. I'm not 100% sure the effectiveness of a Mount being a game-piece considering how "on rails" most bioware maps tend to be though? regardless, I will stay interested.
@kelborn3 WAHAHAA!!! YES! >> THIS << is the kind of healthy interaction that should be promoted. not middle aged burn-outs getting their knickers in a twist about a game they don't understand. admittedly, yes. I still have my N64 for nostalgia's sake. I apologize profusely for my Nintendist remarks. BUT I'M NOT TAKING THEM BACK! ;)
god, GET OVER IT. Not every gamer is a happy little family jumping around their living room in front of a Nintendo! And if you're in doubt as to the "negative effects" of a game's content on your children, then the CLUE IS IN THE RATING!!!! Stop Whining! There's a generation / fan-base of gamers who couldn't give a dam about collecting stars, platforming through pretty valleys or playing in an animated rock band. Saints Row? It's never been "the" most addictive game franchise in recent history, but bloody hell it's certainly squeezed a few much needed laughs out of me. Pfft... Buying this one out of principle. Let the sales and reviews shut the over-sensitive critics the hell up.
@M3o5nster pretty sure that Dark Souls 2 will be "THE" single player campaign game I'll be writing off the year with. I expect I'll get REALLY wired-in-to it. Personally, as innovative and impressive (and no doubt, as wonderfully scripted and strong story arrangement) the campaign for GTA will be, it's unlikely I'll be AS involved in the campaign, as I will the multiplayer element.
simply going by what Rockstar had done with their "Free Roam", PvP and co-op over the cycle of their last few games releases (the last GTA, RedDead etc), I can't help but imagine that - which I guess We'll know shortly! - all of these functions will be presented in the new game and expanded upon.
It's practically going to be MMO, but without the crappy animations and glitchy interactions
it takes one hell of a big pair of balls to come out and show respect for a rival studio's work like this. I have a lot of respect for Kojima's comments. And as for GTA, I couldn't actually agree more. It's my belief that gtaV will be this generation of console's most graceful and powerful swansong. really let them go-out with a bang. cannot wait.
