now would you look at that...! not even combat. but good old fashioned, hard core visual and audio level hazard. I was skeptical about this game's inclusion of co-op, but by the looks of what we've seen so far, I can't help but notice how true they've stayed to the series! I think my wife and I will be grabbing a first day purchase to rock this little beauty! sign me up (poor Issac Clarke... The ultimate "I'm not even supposed to be here today!" bad luck story)

@SadPSPAddict i would definitely agree that the amount of players still active is a sign of a successful release.

I have no shame in admitting that Battlefield 3 has probably been my top gaming experience over the course of just under a year since it's release. I am not so much of a fan of the single player campaign, but that's just my angle on this game. It's obvious that BG3's main success has been it's multiplayer elements. with that in mind, I would consider it so much better value for money / delivering the player's core experience, if DICE were to consider scrapping the single player element of a future game, in order to really pump-up what is made of the co-op and pvp. the budget spent on story, script and voice-actors for a campaign could be put to such great use when aimed at the core multiplayer content. Either that or at least a full campaign co-op.

LUSTING after this game already... I'm particularly interested in the the PvP elements presented. I'd be interested to know more about the game types.

this franchise has always had my attention. first with the original's and 2nd's map editor so that I could enjoy kicking my buddy's backside on homegrown maps, but now - since my wife and I have become eachother's most valued co-op companions - for this mode inclusion. I notice that this co-op mode is set aside from the main campaign. and also, it appears to be hard-wire scripted and voice acted. with that in mind, my only hope is that the co-op mode's story thread is a lengthy one. as a voice acted singular mode in any game usually suffers from budget and disc space restrictions. and if this mode is a little shorter than I personally would wish for (I'd personally like to be able to play through a WHOLE campaign in co-op), then I at least hope it will be supported by forward content and DLC (something battlefield unfortunately appear to have missed with their co-op inclusion). either way, this is looking splendid.
