Aye, no luck. I think it's safe to say this card is a dud.

Done that earlier.

I done - device manager - right click on Intel HD family Graphics - disable.

On the restart, i checked device manager & instead of Intel HD family graphics, there was Standard VGA adaptor.

The 6970 was still not detected.

Yeah all of those i have tried. Both fans are working on the 6970.

In the device manager, it shows Intel HD faimly graphics. I have no idea as to why it won't detect the 6970.

It was detected fine a few days ago, now, nothing...

I got a new PC a couple of days ago, everything was fine until my 6970 could not be recognised. My monitor doesn't work if my plug it into the GPU port either.

I tested a 5850 in the same PC & it was detected straightaway.

I've been searching the web high & low & haven't had any luck. I'm starting to think maybe the 6970 is a dud.

Any help would be great.
