Anyways. Hope this turns out ok... And hope the guy learns his leson, but his wife doesent divorce him. Being a kid with divorced parents aint nice =(

Wow. I'm in Colorado right now...no sign of any flying saucer balloon. Hope the kid gets rescued. It's not a pretty sight to imagine a six year old falling possibly thousands of feet to his death. Hope everything turns out okay.

I hope the little boy is alright after this all over. I am going to make a prediction and say that if and when the child lands (crashes) that child services will be there with open arms.

His parents should be SHOT for letting this happen.

from CNN:

"The boy's family had been building the experimental aircraft at their home on Fossil Ridge Road in Fort Collins, CNN affiliate KUSA reported."

Yea - REAL GENIUSES there letting a 6-year-old play aroudn that thing.

No he's in some compartment on the bottom of the craft and can't be seen. When I turned to the news channel I thought they were showing some ufo!

Okay, this is a little of topic, but can someone answer this question for me?

What is it about balloon-mediated flight that makes it so damn irresistable to idiots? I mean, every couple of years some new moron will be in the news because he made his own hot air balloon or tied a bunch of big helium balloons to a lawn chair, took off, and only realized after hitting 5,000+ feet that he forget to implement controls/a way to get back down.

As for this particular incident, you know the parents were involved in this. I have a hard time imagining that a six year old figured out how to take the craft out of whatever storage it was in and get it operational and flying. All this story does is remind me of how much I hate morons.

This has to come down to the parents.

Oh I agree, just the name Falcon makes me think that this kid should have been in foster care earlier

At the same time this is on the same level as the "penny in outlet" situations

I'm glad you know what's in my head and all. Someday you'll have to tell me how you do it.

I'm quite concerned about the kid. Children are the one soft point for me in an otherwise clown-filled OT.
