Importantly too, it's hard to get excited about the new consoles when my current PC already has far superior hardware and can play the vast majority of games coming along. It comes down to exclusives for me but an actual library of solid titles in order to get me interested in jumping on board.
At this point I have around a 6-7 game backlog on my PC and three games on my PS3. I'm patient and don't need to have a new console especially until there is a solid library of games that I feel are worth the investment. Too, I'm cool waiting until some glitches get fixed with the initial round of consoles being released.
You know, I waited to get my PS3 as I had a backlog that I wanted to finish. I'm in the same position now with this new gen. Honestly, I'm cool with waiting a bit and I'm thankful for a game or two that won't likely become a part of my backlog since they're being delayed. lol
It's makes me sad to say that I will miss this series if nothing else comes of it. :( Yet, like many others have already said, the hype machine is just too big on this one that we'd all likely be quite disappointed.
May HL rest on its laurels having retired at its height. At least with that, we'll always remember how great it was rather than how they waited forever to release a piece of trash.(if that happened that is)
@shinningserpent As an American myself, thanks for demonstrating why so many people in the world can't stand our country. It's fine to be proud of your country but to be so narrow-minded, especially in a time where our government can't even remain open due to such widespread incompetence, is disheartening.
Well, I'm glad to hear that the PS4 is coming to Singapore in December. That will make my potential purchase a bit easier. However, I've still got a fair amount of games to play between my PS3 and PC. I'll be OK if I wait a bit but I won't complain if I get a nice Christmas present from my wife. :)
