Impressive, Gamespot gave this game its highest score. Well deserved, since the game is near perfect.

@MrFreehuggs Pacman was released March 1982. E.T. was released December 1982.

Pacman for Atari was the most anticipated game ever at that point. E.T. was not even close.

@Sevenizz I've tried it - it's horribly inaccurate.

Documentaries are supposed to be truthful, right? Then why is the trailer filled with inaccuracies?

Did they really call E.T. the most anticipated game ever? It wasn't even the most anticipated game on the Atari. They called it Atari's biggest failure ever - also untrue. That honor goes to the true reason for the landfill burial - Pacman.

The Pacman port on Atari was the most anticipated Atari game, so much so that Atari made 12 MILLION copies of it. And then....they only sold 8 million. The game stunk. It was a disgraceful shell of the arcade version, barely even Pacman, because the console simply couldn't handle the same things an arcade machine did. In addition to the 4 million unsold copies, there were tons of people who returned the game after discovering how garbage it was, which Atari also ended up being on the hook for.

E.T. didn't have nearly as many catridges that they needed to dispose of that Pacman did.

@PeterDuck @Thanatos2k Stop throwing a tantrum, we know exactly what you mean.

You said "the persecuted group in this case" talking about women who play video games. It's getting tiring when you try to backpedal on everything that comes out of your mouth.

@PeterDuck @Thanatos2k @Dharkanon I used all because she's referring to all. If that's not what she meant she should have said it differently.
