@deviltaz35:

It's the feel of the game like this with a wheel vs a pad. I can't feel the road with a Pad like I can with a wheel.. I dont use a wheel for all my racing games. but for ones like this. I just prefer a wheel.

Fine by me, the game was a buggy mess at launch anyhow. And after their multiple screw ups with Arkham Night, I'm staying away from anything with the title Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on the front it for a long, long time.

I don't doubt that it's not excellent with a controller, and several of my friends play it with one, as you can fine tune your settings very well in the game. But for me personally, a wheel is the way to go. Plus it opens up way more racing games. And it's the feel of the thing as well for me. Sure for some games I do play with a game pad (Need for Speed Series anyone, save for the awesome Shift games). But Project Cars, Dirt, Shift 1 & 2, and Auto Corsetta, I really perfer I wheel. Like I said, I have a ton of racing games for my pc, so it was a worthwhile investment. (Plus I waited and got mine on sale)

I love this game, but I also have some points I want to make as well.

1 - If this is your first rally game, stay away. Get a copy of Dirt 2 first and play that. It will teach you the basics pretty well.

2 - Wheel is required. I tried playing with an Xbox 360 gamepad, and its just not possible. If you're playing on PC, get the G27 racing wheel. For consoles, get a wheel that has a actual shifter, dont get one that only had pedals by the wheel for shifting.

3 - Be patient! I own a ton of racing games, and I can say this was by far the most challenging / demanding / frustrating racing game I've ever played. You will be tested!

4 - Play with good set of speakers, or headphones! (I use a set of Kingston Hyper Cloud's) It helps when you can clearly hear your engine, your co-driver, and the road. Really listen to co-driver. really helpful during the race

In the end though, its worth it. Once you get to grips with this beast of a game, its awesome. I don't bother with the rally cross, but for the rallying parts of it. I did rage quit quite a few times, but once you get the hang of it, you're hooked. For me, it was about 5-6 hours.

(Made an small edit for my post)

Please note, I don't want to scare anyone off who want's to play with an Xbox 360 / One / PS3 or PS4 controller. If that's your thing, then go for it. You can really tweak the settings in the game for gamepad use.

Original Nes when it came out, i jumped up and down like crazy when I got that. Also last year, when i got a G27 racing wheel and a copy of Assetto Corsa. Those are the big two, but many many more

As much as I enjoyed Witcher 3 and MGS V, I've enjoyed Rocket League more. It is the best multiplayer game this year, hands down.

I'm still playing it like mad. Enjoying it as much, maybe more than Witcher 3. And for those who don't follow the sport, it's soccer here in US / Canada. Football almost everywhere else.

Not what I meant at all. I hate most mobile gaming, and I still love big title AAA games. I've just been enjoying smaller games as of late. Plus the AAA titles I've played this year (Save for Witcher 3 and Fallout 4) just aren't up to par, or just needed to be held back. (PC version of Batman Arkham Night anyone?)
