@toffifee @wowwow27 Yeah. I mean, I enjoyed the hell out of Risen, which got questionable ratings, but all my friends hated that game. Reviews are great to see what you're getting into, but it's your choice at the end of the day.

@tom2750 I'd say it's better to ignore scores and just see the main points of each review. I mean, if you're hoping for a loot based FPS, you won't be happy, but if you want solid shooting mechanics then Destiny could please. It's all about perspective.

@gargungulunk @pound-u @alexk1088 It sounds like one of the problems most reviewers have with Destiny is that it has a minimal sense of progression? So, from an RPG standpoint, it's disappointing. If the shooting is good though, they could definitely remedy many of the game's flaws by overhauling the progression & loot system, and adding more life to levels.
