@handyman450: I think the only DLC I've enjoyed from Bioware was for ME3. The rest have been really short and average, especially for the price. They just don't make substantial DLC, and I'd really recommend not buying any.
@naryanrobinson: It's the same reason why people get heated talking about the legalisation of drugs. If there are people who take them responsibly, and don't infringe on other people's space, etc, then why are they illegal? HR was more about philosophy and ethics, though, but it's the same argument of how liberal you are allowed to be in a society full of norms and taboos, some more rational than others.
@TehUndeadHorror: To elaborate, I don't think they deserve such a large cut for a game they no longer support. Skyrim isn't an mmo, or multiplayer game that requires support years after release. They provided a platform, which everyone has already bought, so why do they deserve additional cash? Modders are building on their intellectual property, but everyone who pays for a mod will have already paid for the game.
It's quite different from say, a game being based on Lord of the Rings, with some of the revenue going back to the Tolkien estate. To buy that game, you do not have to already own Lord of the Rings, therefore it makes sense to give a cut to the original IP holders.
