Heh, one of her license keys popped up near the end of the video.

@Bexorcist: I think that was my overall impression of the review as well. What is this game like for an experienced fan of the series? That seemed to be rather missing. I've played Anno 2070 (which is thought was good) and 2205 (which I thought was fantastic). Those are obviously in a very different setting and I'd like to know if this would feel the same or not. I haven't played any of the older, non-future setting ones.

I think there's a lot more research that this video misses out on. I've read through various fragments of info and was hoping it'd be collected here but it wasn't. Supposedly, there is actually a coherent explanation of everything but you have to experience all of the media, including the now non-existent MMO to get it and I don't think anyone has written the important stuff down in one place.

One of the bits of info I recall that is not covered in this video was that Neo was not in fact human but was a construct created by one of the AI factions. I don't recall all the details but as a result of him being this construct, he did have a wifi connection as was noted in this video which explains his ability to affect the sentinels in the real.

If you look for it, I think there's bits of info like this scattered out on the web.

@owizeisme1: I never really personally saw BioShock as a spiritual successor to System Shock. SS was clearly a horror game and BS never felt that way to me. They might have intended it to be a spiritual successor but it just didn't come across that way to me. I think you could make a much better case that Prey is a spiritual successor to SS.

I'm all for being excited about SS3 and maybe I'm being overly critical of an early work but I thought that video kinda sucked. The quality just didn't feel right and Shodan was not nearly scary enough. Too soft and round.

I wonder how much of this extended life is due to the modding community. One thing Bethesda does great is let their fans do almost anything to their games. Is this proof that the extra effort to make the game moddable and releasing tools for it pay off for Bethesda?

This sucks. The campaigns are the primary reason I play.

I'm hoping they'll improve the inventory management for back packs. Very annoying to keep all my spare ingredients and supplies in a back pack but then not be able to sort them like the regular inventory.

@warui: It's two years old because it was really released too early. So maybe this will be more like the release it should have been?
