http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/halowars?q=halo%20wars#critics

Average reivew= 82, and the guy who reviewed had a lot of problem apperantly. He also didn't play the online or anything above Normal difficulty (I heard).

Most reviewers also gave either a 80% or 90%. Funny, Gamespot's review fails.

Uh, no. Try actually playing Command and Conquer for 360, a CONSOLE RTS, and then explain why the heck HALO WARS was so dumbed down. Not good. Great Reviewer!

Actually, he's right. Just look at Gameinformer, OXM and Eurogamer, they reviewed it the correct way. This guy just doesn't know how to review RTS console games well...at all.

Oh, and play the actual game before saying it's dumbed down.

Oh, I did play HALO WARS Demo for hours. Please stop trying to make stuff up, since you are not good at it.I also wrote NUMOUROUS in THREADS about Halo Wars, google it.

I'm not talking about the demo. And don't say I'm not good at it. I've played it, for a few hours too.

XD has anyone at least read/view the review? i think makes a lot of sense, all the points they touched are indeed very important. The basic elements in rts and were mediocre for this game. still xD 6.5 is harsh.. probably deserved 7.5-8lancedgt
Read other game sites' reviews too, you'll see where this guy is wrong.

[QUOTE="Avian005"]I hate the fact he reviewed it as a PC RTS game. For console owners (and it's exclusive, you idiot reviewer), it's a great game.SolidTy

If this type of thread has been made already, then Mods, delete this because I don't see any at the moment.

Anyways, I would, and some others mabye, would like to know what and why your favorite game of 2008 is/was. Just type the name of the game, your personal rating, and why it was your favorite game of 2008 was.

My favorite game of 2008 is Mirror's Edge, I personally give it a 9.0 out because the gameplay is different from most FPS games and is one of the hardest games of the year to beat. Faith is the coolest badass new video game character to me because underneath her cold additude to most people (Blues) she still has enough heart to defend her family and friends.

That's all I'm writing for right now because I just found out Fox is filing a duit to delay Watchmen indefinetly.

[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"]Goodbye, Sony PSP
We barely knew ye

[QUOTE=""]Whatever happened to the PSP? The device that Sony once touted as "the Walkman for the 21st century" is fast disappearing from popular consciousness, and if you believe the rumors circulating just three-and-a-half years after its launch, it's up for a major rethink in 2009.

Over the crucial month of November, the Nintendo DS shifted a jaw-dropping 1.5 million units in the US alone (up 20% from last year) while the PSP languished, managing just 421,000 sales -- actually down 27%, in what was in general a tremendously strong month for video games.

Even the software support is eroding. Despite the PSP's healthy install base of around 13 million consumers (in the US), only six 2008 PSP releases scored better than 80% on review aggregating site gamerankings.com, compared with 16 on the DS. There's a good reason for that: nobody's making PSP games, because outside of one or two hits like this year's Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, nobody's buying them. That's only going to worsen when the superheavyweight Grand Theft Auto series (previously exclusive to the PSP on handhelds) releases its first DS title early next year.

In a lot of ways, it's a shame. The PSP is a far more capable hardware platform than the DS. It's a phone, a portable music player, a pocket-sized movie device, a mobile web browser, and when paired with a Playstation 3, a remarkably capable remote control for the system, capable of streaming music and movies from a PS3 over the Internet to wherever you happen to be.

Since when is it a phone also ITS PRIMARY FUNCTION IS A GAMING DEVICE

Next to it, the DS looks like a product of another age. It's barely capable of 3D, let alone delivering a suite of mobile applications of the PSP's caliber. Not, in fact, unlike the contrast between the Playstation 3 (modern, immensely powerful, and pricey) and the Wii (underpowered, basic, and cheap.) Oh, and phenomenally successful. The parallels you can draw between Sony and Nintendo's offerings go deep.

But then, set the PSP next to the iPhone or iPod Touch, the year's other big winner in portable gaming, and the PSP's hardware design suddenly looks old hat. Where's the touchscreen? What are all these buttons for? What on earth is the point of this useless analog nub of a joystick?

games mabye

And why, in an age when flash memory is so cheap it practically comes in Cheerios boxes, are we still stuck with a huge, bulky, slow, and noisy optical drive?

so that we can fit more then 3 games and nothing else on are 4gb sticks or 6 on are 8gb sticks with nothing else. But you can also buy shorter games like the iphones on the ps store.

If you're going to compete by offering a powerful hardware platform, you actually need to outperform the competition. As the iPhone steps into the portable gaming ring,

iphones primary function is music and cell phone, the games for it are designed for 30min trips unlike psp games

it's already got the PSP on the ropes.

Guess what, Sony: Apple already made the Walkman of the 21st century, and you missed the boat.PrinceofSarcasm

did sony do someting to you when your where a child

Damage.

:(

while I'd say most of this article is true, this idiot should know that buttons are for GAMERS. duh. still, the point (and challenge) seems clear.

so what does Sony have to do to get some good news circulating these days? And what do they do to keep 3rd party devs from abandoning the platform? Is it piracy that's causing 3rd party interest to dry up? Thoughts?

*hugs PSP 1000 & PS3*

aslo hugs psp 1000 & PS3

That was full of self-own. The writer is an ignorant person with no information.

With it's co-op, matchmaking, custom games, Forge and theatre, yes it is.

Even Halo 3's campaign is great, to me, amazing because a lot of stuff from the books is in it... A LOT.

Delgo won five critics' awards for something, they spent $40 million making it, and they didn't even advertise it. I saw only two TV ads for it, and it made it look like crap.
