This is a very difficult question for me. Even though I'm a libertarian, most people mistake me as a conservative because I'm pro-life and advocate safe sex (you know, the kind where you wait until marriage before you have sex). I'm also an atheist, which puts my in an odd position. I really want to marry eventually, but I don't want to have to choose between similar religious views and political views. I think conservative Christians make better people in most instances, but I would be happier ultimately with a liberal atheist, so as long as she promised me she would never have an abortion for any reason, including if it was to save her own life. However, there's a lot I don't like about the culture of liberalism, even if I am culturally liberal (their scientism, their dogma, their ignorance, and their bigotry). That's why I don't like referring to people on the Left as liberals. However, I'm sure that there are actually good liberals who can respect people's right to their opinion rather than berate it. I also think that liberal atheists would be more willing to date me than conservative Christians, unfortunately. I also believe that I'm sacrificing more to marry a Christian than a liberal because I might have to get married in a church, raise the children with her in the church, etc, whereas a liberal would permit me to live my life as I saw fit as long as I love her.
I know some of you are not the marrying kind, but if you were to marry, who would you rather marry? I thought dating would be too easy of a commitment, so I raised the ante to marriage. Assume other qualities are basically the same.
