Having the game since the day before launch i have to agree with the 8.0 score, now don't get me wrong i actully think GT5 is the best racing game on the consoles BUT this is in terms of content and the racing itself NOT the overall package. All though in my opinion GT5 is better than Forza 3 for example is believe Forza 3 deserves a higher score overall, this is simply due to GT5 having some issues which it simply shouldn't have which knock it's score down. Screen tearing. Frame rate drops. Poor online, by todays standards it's very lacking. Poor implementation of certain graphics - rain/smoke effects while good make the cars look terrible when near them (very very pixilated). The quality of some of the standard cars is very poor, not all but enough of them to be an issue. All these things easily make it deserve a few points deducted overall, it's a shame the game was release in such a poor state of affairs because as i said i think in terms of racing and content it's the best there is on consoles but the above issues are quite bad considering the 6 years it took to make. Here's hoping the actully go to town on fixing the issues ASAP because with the above fixed it's a clear 10/10 game.

[QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"]

Do we know this as a fact or are we just speculating?

Ragnarok1051

Not a fact, but it's never been announced what they are counting has it? How else would they break it down? Do you think Sony would only count starter packs when trying to boast about their Move sales?

Of course not they are counting every move component they are selling, otherwise they would announce that they are only counting wands, or they are only counting starter packs, or they are only counting each eye, and wand combination, etc.

So you are speculating.

see my post above. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-30-sony-over-4-1-million-moves-sold http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/11/30/move-sales-surpass-4-1-million-units/ http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=278463 They all say the same, it doesn't include eyes or navs.

[QUOTE="TintedEyes"]Lems definitely got owned here no question.coasterguy65

Move - 4.1 Million in Two Months

Kinect - 2.5 Million in 25 Days

Definitely.

Not to mention that each individual SKU for Move counts as a sale. So every Wand, every Nav controller, every starter pack, and every Eye counts as a Move sale.

Those Kinect numbers are even more impressive when you factor in most Move owners have bought at least two Wands. I know 1 person who owns 8 wands so he can have 4 players play together.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-30-sony-over-4-1-million-moves-sold It's just wands and starter packs contributing to the 4.1 million figure.

anyone tried the head-tracking or 3D yet. kind of tempted to take a gamble on a eye toy just to see how it is

racing1750
How does the head tracking work? Might buy a eye toy if it's going to make the experience better :)

Once you set it up correctly it works very well. Movig your head left, right, up & down moves your head around the car, turning your head left & right turns your view left & right. There is however one massive flaw, it only works in arcade mode, i have no idea why the did this BUT i do hope it gets patched to everything as it's really quite good.

[QUOTE="360PuppyLover"][QUOTE="Stoner-Pimp"]Got my copy this morning and so far i'm really enjoying it, it's not as good as i hoped to be honest (but i was expecting perfection :D). --- Things i'm not happy about. The HUD, it's just got to much on it, i loved in Forza 3 that you could change the HUD to your own liking and as always when given the choice i disabled it completly for incar view yet in GT5 there are HUD items all the screen and in the incar view it just looks horrid, i really hope they patch in the ability to disable/change it soon. The whole standard/premium thing, seems to me it was just done so they could just say "we have 1000+ cars!!!", i would prefer 500 cars all with incar views instead of this 800ish without and 200ish with, but hey, i'll live with it. Screen tearing!!!, it's minor yes BUT i spotted it in my 1st race, not happy about that at all, after so long in development it should have NONE. Head tracking, it's pretty cool once you set it up right (which is quite easy) but so far it only seems to work in arcade mode only, if it doesn't unlock in GT mode (like damage) i'll not be a happy bunny at all. Things i'm loving. Rain!, a night time race in the pouring rain with a 200+MPH car is simply stunning, if there was lightning in the sky i would have had a trouser insident. The interface, it's great, very easy to use and really good to look at, everything just seems right, i really can't see how it could be better (unless you could order pizza directly from it). Top gear test track, one word, "fantastic". --- Easily a 9.0 from me, would have been 9.5 if it wasn't for the screen tearing.

how does it shape up against Forza 3, thanks.

I would say it's better, i love Forza 3 (there is no denying it, it's a great racing game and one i'll continue to play), but i don't like that there is no weather or time of day changing, if Forza 3 had it i would put them very close together but i would give the edge to GT5 for amount of content and the whole online setup (it's very well implemented), i prey for the day when a dev puts the best of Forza and GT together,

For 360 - Banjo 3 (as a proper platform game). For PS3 - Warhawk 2 (with a full on cockpit view for vechicals & a 1st person view for ground troops). For Kinect - Black and White 3 (it's perfect for kinect). For Move - Dawn of War 3 (i can dream :)).

Got a chance to try Kinect today in the town and i gotta say i'm glad mine is arriving on wednesday. I got to try Kinectimals in Gamestation and it was just great (it really is the most adorable game i have ever seen), i looked a complete tool spinning around and jumping about teaching tricks BUT it was great fun (and my daughter was in stitches watching me), the way they had it setup was just amazing, the kinect was slumped over a pile of magazines with everything scattered around it but it worked just fine which impressed me (i played standing about 5ft away from it). I also got to play Kinect Sports in the Game around the corner, i wasn't expecting there setup to work at all as the Kinect was mounted some 10ft high on the wall pointing nearly strait down but again it worked great with me around 5ft'ish away from the TV, i tried the bowlng 1st and i was immediatly shocked about the lag it had from my movements to showing them on the avatar, it was just as good as Sports Champions!, i really wasn't expecting it (if it does have more lag than SC's i found it really hard to tell). The bowling felt really good and very natural and i felt the ball was going where i wanted it to go and i was able to get the amount of spin i wanted quite easily, i then tried table tennis (funny thing, when i stood in the pause pose and got the menu up the Game staff member who was standing beside the setup asked how i managed to pause it as she couldn't find the optipon :D, nice staff knownledge that was), anyways the table tennis to felt really good, it felt like an inbetween of Wii table tennis and Sports Champions, i do prefer SC's gameplay of the TT BUT with the Kinect version having 4 player online i will end up playing that more i recon (patch in online SC dammit!!). Overall i honestly found it amazing to play and honestly i wasn't expecting to to feel as good as it did, i do wish there were some more varied titles soon but the 4 games i'm getting will keep me going for a while, role on Wednesday.

[QUOTE="devilsoultaker2"]why would anyone get move when you can play most of them with a controller , whats wrong with sony where's the full move games like Sorcery and such

Simple, because if the Move controls are done right they can make them better to play using it, MAG is a good example of this, it plays fine with a pad but IMO it plays better with Move (Heavy Rain & Ruse are others that are better with Move IMO aswell).

Not sure if posted yet but here is OXM's DanceMasters review (it's a little short IMO). http://www.oxmonline.com/article/reviews/xbox-360/a-f/dancemasters?page=0%2C0 8.5 for people who just want the score.
