Personally I prefer receiving the complete package when I pay full price for a game. I'm not paying $60 for a glorified demo and then have the developers trickle the rest of the game over the coming months.
If developers don't want to give us the full game at launch, then they should stop charging us full price at launch.
Agreed. It's a pretty sad time for gaming when we have people actively defending getting less features in their full priced games. I've said it before that I'm really not a fan of developers withholding content in their games for no good reason.
Either give me the full game or don't. Don't sit there throwing scraps at me every month.
The problem with Other M (and even Prime 3 Corruption to an extent) was that there was too much focus on story and characters when Metroid was supposed to be about atmosphere and isolation. I hated the fact that they gave Samus this poorly written backstory when I preferred it more when she was silent and mysterious.
The gameplay was serviceable enough but as I mentioned before the lack of atmosphere killed it for me.
