If you're going with DDR3 anyway, you're better off with a one of the cheaper X58 mobos and Core i7 920. EVGA's X58 mobo costs just as much (and there are cheaper ones than that) as the 790i and the Core i7 920 costs less than a Q9550. Thats two cheaper parts that are better than what you have listed. I would also suggest a GTX 260 (55nm revision, coming soon? out already?) over the 9800 GTX. Also, to tri-sli anything, I think you're going to need something bigger than a mid-tower case. While there is room in the 900, it is going to be tight. I've seen one GTX 260 in mine, two would be fairly tight, I don't know about three.

You obviously werent here, but a while back, GS changed the description of 10.0 from perfect to whatever it is now, as in, not perfect in the literal sense. So, why argue about it?

Its only too noisy when fans are set to high (have low, med, and high switches). On low (still provides good airflow), noise is really quite minimal. And it looks just great since every fan (including top 200mm) has blue LEDs. So, you dont really need to replace fan (I know you're not going to, just saying) as the stock fans cool well enough.

Motherboard is fine, but a bit expensive for my taste (whats your budget anyway?). The GPU is good, but only if you're getting it for a good price. If not, I would go with an HD4850 which performs just as well or better in most cases. And that motherboard only support crossfire, so it gives you the option to buy another 4850 in the future. And the 4850 is cheaper (again, budget?) PSU is overkill for just one GPU, but if theres a chance you may buy a second GPU, I would play it safe with 750w from Corsair or other good company. For vista + gaming, you need 4gb of ram. On any new motherboard, there will be no problems with compatibility of a hard drive. Mid tower cases are fine, but can be a little cramped when routing your cables, but it really depends on what case. If thats the P180 you're talking about, then that seems fine, but I think you should keep an open mind to other cases.

Both got the badass black interior. However, the 900 looks better on the outside.redneckdouglas
The Antec 900 doesn't actually have a black interior unless they've updated it (I doubt it). That Thermaltake V9 interior doesnt look half bad, but it has no side panel window, so why paint the inside black? And the 900 does not have a black painted interior, but does have a side window (which is big plus for me). Now that I look at it, the V9 doesnt appear to have much for cable management. At least the 900 has holes to route cables behind the motherboard tray, but its still lacking a bit, but more than nothing.

Good going there Microsoft. Sucks for launch buyers who are out of warranty in 3 days.EVOLV3
Its 2005 all over again! :( Well, maybe not to that extent. But come on, this is one big coincidence.

Not as big a screen, but it is technically feasible for anyone who wants to play Forza 2 in this manner, rather than a programmed demo.

Dang. And I was all ready to bring this up before anyone else. Oh well. But yeah, they already basically did this with Forza 2. Just 4x Full HD 1080P and 240 FPS sounds so much more awesome than Forza 2 on three monitors.

If you guys would like to mess around a little bit, try starting a lan server and putting in some console commands.

Ex: (PC version)

sv_cheats 1
director_panic_forever 1 - Basically unlimited hordes.
director_force_panic_event 1 - create a horde when command is used.

Other good ones:

sv_infinite_ammo 1 - self-explanatory
z_spawn (boss name) - ex: witch, tank, boomer, hunter
z_add - Adds a regular zombie where you are looking
give (item name) - ex: pistol, pipe_bomb, autoshotgun, rifle, hunting_rifle, molotov, first_aid_kit, etc
sb_give (item name) -  use same items of above, but gives them to AI survivors.
z_health (any number) - newly spawned zombies' health.
nb_rush - All zombies currently spawned run after you like a horde.
z_speed (number) - How fast zombies run.

sb_friendlyfire 1
sb_open_fire 1

Do those last two along with unlimited ammo for fun.

We used to be able to play as an infected boss, but Valve fixed that in an update....right before the public release of the demo.
