At least he has the sense to say "almost" and not "better than."

You'll be fine with that CPU for a while longer. I wouldn't worry about it for another year or so.

Off-screen shots FTL. But even in those pics, Crysis still looks better.

[QUOTE="Bebi_vegeta"]Wow... same topic, different thread... you really have nothing better to do.

I'll say it again, what resolution and what setting for a bad port that's also running better under Nvidia.

dc337

This wouldn't be excusable even if the settings are maxed. The pc video doesn't look that much better than the 360 version. The main difference between the two videos is the framerate, not the graphics or resolution. There should really be no excuses for that type of performance.

Yes it runs better with nvidia cards, but so what? How would you have liked to have spent over $1000 on a gaming pc to see the console version of a game run a lot smoother? This type of stuff drives people away from pc gaming.

I'm just going to point out the things that were wrong with that video.
1. Rockstar really dropped the ball on this one when optimizing for PCs
2. As a result of problem one, settings will obviously be a big factor in that video.
3. Was it really run on a $500 graphics card? Can you prove it?
4. Refer tothese videosfor how smoothly GTA IV can run on PC.
5. That blue-ish tint on the 360 version looks awful (okay, opinion here), can you really say, judging by that video, that the blue-ish tint look better?
6. I have personally played it on both 360, and PS3. Not on PC, but history says that damn near every multiplat on PC looks better.

Almost 1500 hours of bf2 in just under a year an a half. And thats just that game. 2000 hours since June of 07 and having Xfire running. PC being my main platform, I have an average amount of time on consoles.

Like...uh, ^ he said. You can probably get by with that PSU. I would test that first and then if your system doesn't run, buy something like a 550w or 600w PSU.

Freezer 7 Prois a very good cooler for the price. My CPU usually idles in the low-mid 20's and never goes above 50C.
