Anyone know if they will be coming out with a 2gb version of the new Radeon cards. Also, I have read that these cards are gonna be near impossible to get during the first few weeks, anyone know the usual trend for these kind of things?

Honestly tho, how much more FPS can you get with i7 compared to theAMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition andAMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition? And how much better will the i7 be when doing memory intensive tasks like photoshoping (rendering wise and with multiple programs)?

I would go with AMD. AMD is a lot more stable. Intel has to throttle its speed when it reaches 60 degrees cel, meaning it has to reduce its speed in order to reduce it the heat. Whereas, AMD doesnt do this it simply keeps going at a constant speed and are built to be more resistent o high heat. If an intel chip goes over its threshold it does 1 of three things: crash, freeze, or reduce its speed.

HD4890 uses 500W, that PSU should be fine.

Also there's an XFX 4890 60 bucks off on Newegg

RobboElRobbo

Is performance difference between the two substantial? I see the memory clock as the primary difference.

EDIT: Also, i am not interested in the new cards, rather, i am interested in when they will have a price drop for the current 4xxx series. Thanks!
