It took 16 hours to download a 7GB game on the Xbox......... wtf? I used to own a PS4 and it would take all day to download on that too. If I purchase a game on either console, I know I'm not playing it until the next day. Thank Feck they didn't go digitally only, not only for that but the price of digital games on these consoles is crazy. I've just got no interest however in purchasing retail games, all that means is I have to keep swapping the disc out, it means I never bother and just play games on my PC instead.

These services cost money and they're so slow, I can download 7GB on Steam in 5 mins, it goes the full bandwidth of my net, 35MBps.

I've had one account I've had since 2003 banned for no reason, I've been stealth banned from the comments on that account and this one, again for no reason. What I mean by stealth banned is they let you comment, but no one can see it.....

The game is a lame COD clone with mechs that just feel like a soldier in heavy armour..

They cannot even do 1080p, no games are using tessellation, barely any use of AA and even struggling to reach 60fps. This is the first console release that has been so dated compared to the PC at the point of launch. I mean already the performance difference is night and day, even on mid ranged PC hardware of the same cost as an Xbox One.

Imagine in just 2 years time, the PC will wayyyyy ahead! So I dread to think that Sony/Microsoft are going to try and drag this generation out 5+ years, it just cannot happen, even Tablets by then will be more powerful.

The gap between the Wii U and the Xbox One at least is closer than the gap between that and the PC. It honestly makes me feel that Nintendo aren't so doomed after all, Nintendo just need good games and they wont look in the least bit dated compared.

I cannot wait to see the age of Mantle and whatever Nvidia has up their sleeve, the age of DX holding the PC back is over, BF4 already shows 60% increases over DX and a massive increase for lower end systems.

I really think that consoles are in a weaker position than thought and Steam Machines could actually be the future, a slow burn but the future. There is already a $500 machine that is more powerful than the consoles, with a dedicated Steam OS and the promise of increased efficiency, I could see people buying PCs instead of consoles. Already Steam has almost 80 million users....

The cars handle like crap on a controller if you turn all assists off, the brakes are so touchy and the back end just kicks out so easily. You cannot correct it fast enough with the analog sticks and if you do, you'll often over correct it and the rumble triggers are next to useless. I've got the A.I turned right up and always seem to finish 2nd as you have to go right through the field and you lose too much time to the person out in front, the races are only 2-4 laps so you never have enough time to catch them. So I don't suck and I'm not complaining, I just think the cars have far too much oversteer compared to real life and I don't like the touchy brakes. I also think the A.I is quite bad, so often I had to use the rewind because they smash into the back of you even though there is no way they'll make the turn, I had it happen to me on the last corner and couldn't rewind.

You need a wheel really, it would make it a lot easier to control on simulation settings, it was frustrating using a controller. Sadly though the Xbox One only supports one wheel, but it's £300, doesn't comes with the worst pedals ever, no clutch pedal and no gear stick. So you'll be paying another £200 to get basic functionality and you'll probably want to pay another couple hundred on a different wheel attachment for the base because the one it comes with is cheap plastic shit. There is no ETA on when those add ons even come either. The Mad Catz wheel will be crap as they always are and it comes in Feb 2014, though will probably get delayed and it looks like it doesn't come with a clutch or gear stick too.

Really you have no realistic option of any wheel and those £500 ones people bought for Forza 4 that you'd think they would make work... NOPE!

My G27 doesn't work, like EVERY SINGLE WHEEL OUT THERE WONT.... EVER! Microsoft said there wont be any secondary device to make them work and they wont patch support in as they use some new form of wheel innovation... Like really Microsoft? All you're doing is making more people hate you and making Forza 5 more useless than it is.

Fucking mess of a console and so is the game.

Lets take the Xbox One for example...

£430 - console
£20 - Recharge kit
£40 x 6 = 240 - Subscription cost for the likely life of the console to be able to have basic function and online play
£45 - Extra controller
£45 per game

So I'd say with the purchase of the Xbox One you will be spending a good £600, which I will say if you have an existing PC is the price you can turn your current PC into a high end rig. Use the case, dvd drive, maybe the ram, HDD and some other things. Really you could buy a Mobo, CPU and GPU and spend a good £600 on that. You wont need to buy anything else as you can cannibalize what you have, nothing is proprietary like needing a new keyboard and mouse to fit. I personally spent £100 on the mobo, £150 on the CPU and £200 on my GPU, that's basically the cost of an Xbox One. I just used my existing parts... if you need to buy new stuff then £150 can go a long way to getting a cheap case, ram, hdd...

Then you have the advantages of the PC, the mods, the Steam sales, the fact you can buy game CD Keys when they come out for £22 on brand new games. You can also wait a couple months and you know loads of these brand new games will be like 75% off on Steam. F2P is so rampant on the PC, you don't even need to spend a penny on the PC if you do not want to. You don't get that experience on the consoles, you must purchase everything at crazy high prices because it takes so long for console game prices to go down.

If a part on your PC breaks after the warranty, it is so cheap to fix it, if games aren't looking as great as they used to be like an ageing console, it is so cheap to make a single upgrade. I've had my old CPU/Mobo since 2006/7 it was a q6600 or something, a quad core and it lasted 7 years and it still didn't really have any issues, I just felt like it was time to upgrade. My last GPU was from 2009 and it was cheap, this GPU I got is cheap too, if you buy stuff over time and buy smartly, it ends up being very cheap. However once the Xbox One is out of warranty, if something goes wrong with it then it's a new console or a crazy price for a fix from Microsoft.

You have to think as well all the services you get for free on the PC, yet the Xbox One will not have most of them, the ones it does have are behind the Gold subscription! It's a total rip off that you need to pay to be able to use stuff that is free anywhere. The GameDVR is crap, you'll still need a capture card if you're serious about recording game footage, a good one of those will set you back hundreds, yet on PC all you need is Nvidia Shadowplay or whatever which is free software.

I can spend very little on the PC, games are cheap, I can upgrade for cheap and my games will look way better than on consoles and at a higher frame rate. My Library never dies, it is always there, where as on consoles once the console is dead, you have to use an ageing unreliable machine to play them and your games don't move on with it.

I bought 3 games and it come to £135.......... like no wonder why most consoler owners only buy a couple games a year. I've bought 10 times that for the same amount of money on the PC, I got Bioshock Infinite for £6.25..... I've paid nothing for DOTA 2 and played hundreds of hours...

Don't let consoles fool you, they're way more expensive than the PC and as we see already, these new consoles are still struggling to hit 1080P and struggle to use AA already.
