@DeViLzzz @SkytheWiz1 To be fair, I don't care one way or another. My remark was sarcasm, though, as I'm likely never going to spend money on another Xbox (or Xbone'd)-related product again.

@Harbinger_CR @SkytheWiz1 I thought I did as well, but I've met dozens of people when discussing this sort of thing who've had as many or more RRODs as I have.

@Harbinger_CR @SkytheWiz1 I know - but that's just the issue. It'll be my fourth replacement; and this one is the new slim. It shouldn't have been anywhere NEARLY as commonplace as it was.

It doesn't CURRENTLY have the RROD, but I've already had it twice.

By comparison, my SNES from 1993, my Gameboy from 1993 (woot - black and white!), and my N64 from 1998 are all fine and dandy, if not a bit dusty. Even my PS2 has held up well.

I'm not too big into console indies (I try out ones for PC on occasion, but rarely stick with them).

Honestly, the main reason I'm going with PS4 is because I'm tired of Microsoft.
I'm tired of the RROD.
I'm tired of my console freezing within 4-5 minutes of being turned on for no apparent reason.
I'm tired of Live parties dropping or glitching out for no apparent reason.
I'm tired of the twelve year olds that flock to it.
I'm tired of the way they carry out their business model.
I'm tired of constantly feeling like they're trying to milk me for all I'm worth.

Sony's a business as well, and they're in it for the money, too - I realize this - but I've given Microsoft a chance and I'm now ready to move on.

@Tripwolf Its setup is not unlike L4D, to be honest.

I'm enjoying it, though.

@DidymusRULES @SkytheWiz1 But the parents of today are the people who were playing video games back when Doom and Mortal Kombat came out. We know what mature means.

I've played violent video games since I was six. I'm twenty-three. I had no restrictions on what I wanted to watch or play. But I had parents who made sure I understood the difference and, when I misbehaved, I was punished.

Honestly, I think the main issue today is that parents care more about being their child's friend, rather than their parent. They're less concerned about rules and structure.

But I think they're the ones that should be held accountable. Hell, even when they really did begin enforcing age restrictions on Mature games, you could still find 10-11 year olds playing Call of Duty, Battlefield, Saints Row, Grand Theft Auto...

@brandonm236 @SkytheWiz1 @jeffosoft Please don't assume; it just makes you look like an ass.

I haven't said a single nice thing about SR. The games are fun, sure, but I didn't purchase SR3 and won't be purchasing SR4 (I rented both from Redbox).

Like I said, I enjoyed all the past GTAs. I enjoyed RDR as well. But GTAIV, to me, was laughable. On top of the terrible dialogue and cringe-worth voice acting, I felt like it was a baby-sitting simulator in which I kept having to take care of a bunch of adults that wanted to throw darts, shoot pool, and whatnot..

I said it earlier, I say it now, and you won't change my mind about that. Will GTAV be different? Possibly. But if I'm running into people like you who criticize without getting a single fact, perhaps I'd see it as a waste of money too.

@brandonm236 @jeffosoft I liked all of the GTAs from GTA III to San Andreas. When I turned on GTA IV, I was immediately laughing at how serious they tried to make the game - all the while having horrible dialogue and voice acting.

I just couldn't take it seriously, and - to me - that made it horrible. GTAV -does- look more promising, but I'll probably borrow it or pick it up when it hits $20 or so.

Definitely enjoyed it. Wasn't enough replay value to spark a purchase (I Redboxed it), but my playthrough was a lot of fun.
