Patience, they'll release it in a couple of months like every other GTA game. I only hope that someone else will do the PC review, someone who has actually played GTA before.
I haven't yet gotten the game and haven't read the original review, just saw this vid. When I saw that GTA V got a 9.0 score on Gamespot, my first thought was that either some of the missions were too repetitive or there are certain bugs in the game that shouldn't be there. You know, something the developers didn't fix or include in the game that should have been included.
Now after watching this vid and finding out that the game supposedly got a 9.0 score because of the roles of females in it.... in a Grand Theft Auto game... a psychopathic shoot-em-up game..... hmm... yeah, kinda reminded me why I don't ever read reviews in the first place.
A 9.0 score is great, but for heaven's sake, as professional writers at least provide a valid reason for it. Female roles in a genre where you practically massacre everything on sight is NOT a valid reason. Period.
I wanted to buy the game at first, 7 euros isn't that much anyway. But after reading the reviews and especially the articles about this troll feature they implemented, I changed my mind.
So, yeah. Good luck to the company, I'm boycotting everything they make from now on, just for making their playerbase feel like idiots.
And again EA has proved once more WHY I don't buy their games.
Not only because of its bugs, but having to be always online for a SimCity game is just ridiculous. Why not introduce an offline single player game so that players may get to know the basics or just play and create/destroy cities for fun, and an online multiplayer experience where players do whatever it is they do? Why complicate things?
FF7 is a gem. As much as I would also like to be able to play it on modern PCs without having to install 10 different patches for it to work, any remake would, and probably will, kill the title. There's just something about the midi sound and pixel graphics that makes FF7 an extremely addictive game and any improvements would just be bad.
Well what did you expect from EA? They never cared about gamers, nor about fixing major bugs in their products (which the gamers found, btw, NOT their so-called beta testers.. if they had any). For example, The Sims 3 has been out for 3 years now (released in 2009). Ever since World Adventures, an expansion pack for The Sims 3, was released in the same year, players complained about some major bugs - family tree disappearing for no reason, game crashing and freezing after coming home from an adventure, etc. Did EA do anything about it? Of course not. Another such title is FIFA. When I played FIFA 10, I was stunned to see the ref blowing an offside when I tried to pass the ball between two of my players with no opposing player standing in-between. FIFA 12 is already out and the bug is still present in the newer game.
