I can understand Tom's point of view rather well. It makes sense. But at the same time, this is a game AND the main problem he has with this game is resolved in Hardcore mode. So there really isn't much of a problem anymore. But anyway, I enjoyed the debate and I can still see where Tom is coming from :) I've thought on many occasions, while playing CoD, that I'd like to see a mode where you have to play like you're in a real war. Because even in modes like Search and Destroy, where you only have one life per round, people do play more carefully but I'd like to see it taken a step further. How exactly? I'm not sure. Maybe it's not possible to do in a fun way.
@traitor_651 @Thule_77 It's not exactly what they want to do. He said that it plays differently to anything you've played before and the closest thing is probably Skyrim. So it wil play differently but might resemble Skyrim's play style.
Most Dragonball Z games have a lengthy tutorial that explains most of what you need to know. The only problem with that is how long and boring it is. But at least it's there and has been very useful. Other games should learn from this.
@funktacious, you deciding to wait a while and do any misc quests later and finding that it's not engaging anymore is YOUR problem because you've chosen not to do it right away. That has absolutely nothing to do with the game. It's all you. Of course you'll lose any unsaved progress. The game can't magically take you back to where you were if you haven't saved. That's WHY you save. You'll never have to for blacksmithing, really? It takes a few minutes, at most. It can even take less than a single minute. There isn't too much to do. True, you'll probably never do everything that the game allows you to do. But you don't HAVE to. That's the beauty of it. You can do whatever you want. Accept a quest (if you want to) and not do it? Doesn't matter at all. If you feel overwhelmed, complete the quests before moving onto new ones.
Not to sound like a fanboy but I'm extremely surprised at the lack of Big Boss, The Boss or Liquid Snake. There was so much to those characters. Specifically the bosses
Wow.. you just ruined every single thing that happens in most of the series. Since when does 'show you what you've been missing' mean 'ruin every little thing that happens'? Ive already watched it all so it doesn't effect me, I'm just thinking about someone who may not have see it all and thought they would check it out. At least include a spoiler warning next time...
That was a pretty horrible run down of the characters, especially Vegeta, I havent seen the flow chart yet but so far I wouldnt recommend this to anyone, if anything I think it will make people NOT want to watch the show or play the games. But I did like the explanation of death :P
