Am I the only one sick of Nintendo slapping link and Mario all over everyone else's franchise? I think a cameo here and there is cool, but I'm worried it might tarnish them a bit
@dcoutten: Right. I think there's lots of ways they can go about it to accomplish what people want. You could make an option to combine say.. 5 regular loot boxes into a box that guarantees a rare you don't have. Or 15 loot boxes to guarantee a legendary... something like that. I want to see a Kanai's cube implemented immediately!
Look boxes earned through playing should have a scaling % on receiving legendary or rare rewards. Every loot box that doesn't reward a rare increases your chance of getting a rare on the next box by x% and resets when you get one. Xmas and halloween events, I cleaned up and got all the skins within 20-30 boxes, but this current event and the last one I've got nothing in the same amount.
As for purchased loot boxes, perhaps the % could be higher or make it a guarantee but charge more for the box, or make duplicates give more rewards.
Why is this not a top headline, I didn't find it till scrolling past 15 other stories. He was a primary driving force to what video games have become, this story should not be buried...
@horizonwriter @video_gamer13 Another issue is HD remakes in most cases are simply to re-release a popular game with updated visuals, and introduce it to a new generation of gamers and also for the fans. Plus being able to play it on current generation consoles is a bonus.
With that said, gaming evolves... expectations change, and what we considered the pinnacle of gaming gfx, control, story, music etc 10 years ago doesn't cut it by today's standards.
Long story short, I think remakes and possibly indie games should be reviewed on a different scale then normal currently produced games. I played Wind Waker on the GC on day 1, it was incredible. I will play it again on the Wii U, and it will be incredible due simply from nostalgia, but a new gamer who has never touched a gamecube controller will play it for the first time, with current standards, and I think from that perspective, an 8 is fair for this game. But as I said, I feel they should be reviewed on a different scale and it should have been scored as a 9.6/10 GC game remade for the Wii U, and the score should only be impacted by what has changed.
Yes yes... what a touching comment.... except for the fact that if I was working on MGSV, he just made me feel like total s%#t. GTAV trailer was amazing, but the MGSV was one of the best trailers I've ever seen.
