Another insightful review Kevin, thanks! You really conveyed the tone of the game well. I think you could have covered the combat gameplay mechanics more than just the summary pro bullet point, as you did for your Dark Souls review.

I can't wait to eat creatures in this foggy dessert.

Did I say eat? I meant defeat.

Great review Miguel. I just finished the Crown of the Ivory King, and I concur with your assessment. This hyperborean DLC stands out from the rest in tone, fit frosting for the Dark Souls II layer cake.

Each of the Dark Souls II DLC offerings taken alone are way better than the whole of many other games, and perhaps the only game DLC I felt compelled to buy immediately. I liked the setting and challenges of DLC 1 Sunken King a bit more. Ivory King comes in a close second, and sure, I'll give it a 9 too.

Better: from what I can tell after 15hrs, Destiny is a game about a person who travels the galaxy collecting flyers advertising a website. - lawblob 2014

I think Patrick Klepek summed it up best when he tweeted: Every time Destiny tells me to read up on its story at Bungie.net, I'm convinced there is no story to tell.

(For those who haven't played the game, it continually reminds you to visit Bungie.net via some sort of out-of-game-experience web browser so that you can make some ostensible post-immersion sense out of what transpired).

The protagonist is so insouciant. Look at his ho-hum expression shown in the thumbnail image for the article, as if he's saying "Yep another day at the orc-slaying grounds, drove my sword into his neck, guess I gotta tug it out now."

Music aside, great montage! The dynamic camera, variety of actions, enemy expressions and armor are all fantastic.

Never mind, I get it. It's just a puff promotion site with light content.

In the actual game I believe you are fighting the invasive agents of Googull.

So by playing Destiny, I am allowing my play activities to be tracked by Google? The video demonstrates a zoom-in to a location and playback of game activity. If so, this better be in the EULA.

Can I use Destiny Planet View to cheat my way to finding special item treasure, as shown in the video?

I see a lot of blowback, a smell a lot of negatives.

One-word operant conditioning buzzkill: Mimic.

The main reason I dislike games like Borderlands and Diablo is the completely messed-up monty haul loot showerfest. I don't perceive a balanced challenge/reward system and quickly lose interest in playing further as the game has devalued the worthiness of my struggle.

The Dark Souls series has the loot balance just right. Lore hints of mythic items far in advance of the opportunity of finding them. Finding items takes nimble leaping wits, or dash-run daring, or conniving backstabbing, and when you get to that dropped effulgent item, be wary of ambush before you stoop to pick it up. Even the simple chest opening action in Dark Souls 2 is filled with a delightfully dreadful mix of risk and anticipation. The reward is almost as delicious as taking a bonfire rest.

@NTM23 You will find much multi-platform fruit if you enter "Metro glitch" in the search field at http://www.eurogamer.net/search.php

You will find more if you broaden your search to other sites.

I'm glad that many people have had no problems with the previous games. I have had a bad game-breaking experience with a previous release by 4A Games, so I'm hesitant to buy another game from them.
