 I agree with Valereth. Dragon Quest VIII is an excellent new installment from the DQ series for both old school gamers and new gamers. I highly recommend Dragon Quest VIII for you. You won't regret it! :D

I thought Vanille was a pretty good character. What I loved about her was that she was very optimistic throughout the entire game. Even though the group had hardships and difficulties throughout the travel, Vanille always had high hopes and positive thinking that they would achieve their goals in the end.

And like everyone else, I'm pretty eager to see Versus XIII myself. I hope Nomura shows some good gameplay footage at the Fabula Nova Chrystallis Conference in January 2011!

Lol yeah that's true. Unlike many disappointed FF fans, I actually enjoyed the whole cast of characters. Each character had their unique personalities, purposes, hardships, and much more. Hell after I've beaten XIII, Lightning became a role model for me.

Also I was pretty skeptical whether Square should do a XIII sequel. Hell I'm currently eager to see and play Versus XIII for the PS3 and Agito XIII on the PSP. However if Square-Enix can pull it off somehow, I can guarantee Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be more successful and better than its predecessor. But right now I want Versus XIII!! :D

By the way, I sure want to see Serah in combat in XIII-2. :P

There has been rumors and possibilities that Square-Enix will do a sequel for the original Final Fantasy XIII. There are fans whom they desire for a sequel, while others want the series at its current condition. Well I found a website that Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer of Lightning, emailed several Square-Enix workers of a picture of Lightning:

In my opinion, I assume Square-Enix will do a Final Fantasy MMORPG for every upcoming console generations. I do feel somewhat annoyed though since these MMO's are taking the FF's numerical numbers despite they're online games, instead of campaign-based games.

Well I read the update somewhere this week from N4G.com. I cannot find the source though (since N4G brings in piles and piles of gaming news and rumors within every 5 - 15 minutes), but from what I read Nomura said his team are currently searching for voice actors for Versus XIII.

I'll bet at least late 2011 if not somewhere in Q2 of 2012.
