I don't even think you can call this a successor to the DS... Its like the successor to the Sixaxis which failed miserably. They should have made a bigger DS3, with 360's triggers and asymmetric joysticks.

Here's the source of the butthurt: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/25247543 And the ownage continued well into 2008 before MGS4 released and its still continuing to this day with Sony hemorraging money as we speak. (Lets no forget popular FLOPS like Haze, Lair, Ratchet and Clank, Devil May Cry coming Xbox, etc.)

At the end of the day, you guys have too much of an attachment to undeserving Sony because without the competition, you guys wouldn't be looking forward to anything that the PS4 brings. You would have an overpriced console with no online function and no games. Period.

In the END you are saying that Sony did some Stupid things.... And that is worse than Microsoft ripping you off for as much as they can?!!!!

In the END you vilify Microsoft as if your favorite company isn't guilty of the same sh!t AND WORSE. They charged $600 for a consoles with no games for almost half of this generation and Sony gets a free pass from you? You have "_basic" at the end of your name so you've been here for 10-12 years so you've lived through the ownage and disappointment. You ought to be tired by now.

FYI.. 8GB of GDDR5 has a bill of materials(BOM) price of $100 over 8GB of DDR3, expensive controller, EyeEye pack-in(?)...It won't be cheap. I think $499 with the barebones console and $599 with their Eye Toy packed in and a free game. While cheaper than the PS3, its still a price that only the playstation fanboys will pay.

Between the sensor, touchpad, Li battery, and overall bigger dimension, I can't imagine this being comfortable to hold. Sucks because the DS3 and Sixaxis was too light thus uncomfortable.

Will everyone stfu about GDDR5? I don't even hear cows mention it anymore - all hermits.

mitu123

GDDR5 is impressive. The hermits are the most mad though because no matter how much they pay the tech just doesn't exist for a pc.

Um, GDDR5 gpus have been out for a while now, I even have 2 of them.

They think the 8GB of GDDR5 will make their underclocked 7870 perform better than a GTX Titan which has less VRAM. OT: Who is the girl in your Sig? I was going to say Emma Stone, but she isn't hot.

[QUOTE="Miketheman83"][QUOTE="NaveedLife"]

There is no three year warranty anymore. All new 360s come with only 1 year. Luckily new units have an extremely low chance of getting RROD. Microsoft finally reached the industry standard of quality in 2010, a whole 5 years after the 360 was released.

Link3301

So did Sony with the PS3 Slim... They had a 10% failure rate where the industry standard was 3%, 300% lower.

[QUOTE="Miketheman83"]

I really cant figure out why anybody in their right mind would hate this company. Last gen they came out with an affordable console, a great controller, a great online infastructre and the highest rated game library, yet people on here act like they are evil and bad for the gaming indusrty.

Sony releases a $600 console that is hard to develop for, a horrible online infastructure, a lower amount of high rated games and somehow they are gods???

Seems to me like some people are too focused on brand name on not actually what the consoles have to offer.

I was a huge Sony fan, I owned a PS1 and PS2 but I could not support their horrible decisions last gen, and apparantly I wasnt alone. I think I have a reason to dislike Sony, considering I was a fan for many years. I cant think of any reason Sony fans have to hate Microsoft except for the fact that they are Sonys competion and outperformed them in so many ways.

Because System Wars has an "ebb and flow" to it. Once there is an ownage(a major flop for instance), cows will avoid SW until the heat dies down a bit and the other fanboys will fill in the gaps. Its kind of like natural selection/survival of the fittest... Its just that the PS4 has given them hope for an otherwise losing generation.

 Titan has 2-3x the fillrate of the modified 7970m in the PS4 with 4.5TFLOPS of compute... That means 2x the memory bandwidth, more than 2x the pixel fill rate, 2x the vertex fill rate, etc. etc. PS4 won't perform any better than a 1.84TF computer can... It won't come close to a 7950, much less a GTX Titan. You sound like a troll or you're just really stupid... Probably both.

PS3 was supposed to dominate this generation as well, but it ended up in 3rd place in consoles sales and 3rd place in profitability. Sony is still hemorrhaging cash and selling off capitol as we speak. PS4 will have GDDR5 which, if you compare BOM prices, is $100 more expensive than 8GB of DDR3. That alone will allow Microsoft to undercut the PS4 by $100 if they choose to compete on price. You laugh at Kinect, but the PSEyeEye can't match it's capabilities...

The PS4 is legit, no one else has 8gb GDDR5. Not even GTX Titan. Nothing can compare. 720 is going to be brough down by crappy mandatory kinect taking up resources, just like windoze on PC
