@frazzle syntax for simple loop ehh?? hmm, what u think isnt important and since u've started with personal attacks ur opinion has also lost their integrity, leaving context and taking shots at some1 personally really dusnt make ur point.... have u ever heard of a bottle neck? hmm u call me a PS3 fanboy when u clearly cant be reasoned with... a processor and a gfx card have to be used in proper proportions, having a powerfull gfx card but a feeble cpu wont give u performance.... the PS3 uses nvidia n the 360 uses Ati, the 2 have diffrent traits..... but technically are quite at par with each other as any next gen cards can be.... but, if a programmer can distrubute the calculations to be made over the cpu and the gpu evenly, then the CELL will be able to handle a lot more than the 360 cpu, and thats what i was trying to say.. i guess i wrong in assuming that u wld be able to engaging in some intellectual arguement.... i apologise for the fact tht ur iq is comparable to tht of a goldfish....
about the PS3 being more powerful, well it is.... and MS will most definately need another iteration of the xbox to match it if n wen the devs start developing games which will use the PS3's potential... and when that iteration of the 360 comes out, i'll buy tht as well.... that time 360v2 vs PS3 fights will start out... but that just states that the PS3 will have a longer life than the 360..... bottomline, i love both systems and i'm satisfied with bot of em.... the main reason i bought the PS3 is coz of MGS4, UT3 and Home and few other PS3 exclusives....
@Hokkie, if u check, most of the games that are out there are totally uninspired, and all games fall into some categroy or the other, a game has to be fps, action/adevnture, platforming racing etc etc.. the basics and the fundametlas of a game from each category will remain the same... so a game in a game, dusnt matter if its exactly similar to any other game.... both consoles have their share of exclusives and they are either good or bad.... the exclusives that make a console haveing, GoW, Halo 3 for the 360..... Uncharted, GT5p, ratchet and Clank for the PS3..... both consols are at par atm, but the 360 has a slight edge with Live and a lot more online stability.... don't make me start getting into the details... if i seem like a PS3 fanboy, its because my F*KIN xbox died 2 days i bought GoW (which was a pre-order...), so imagine my frustration... but, though in their due time, MS has given me a new console, (yes, i got a new one from them).... my PS3 hasnt died yet, and is a lot more stable than what the xbox was in its early yrs... But again, for the nth time.... rite now 360.... longrun PS3....
@frazzle first and foremost i'm not a PS3 fanboy, its no news that the PS3 has far better hardware than the 360, and as for the framerate problem, like i said in my earlier, much longer post, the 360 has a better gfx card ergo the better framerates, and abt the time factor, when a game is cross-platform, it is devloped on a platform that is easy to to develop on, which is clearly the 360, and then ported on its counterpart, this is a fact and stated in one of the interviews i read, i am a programmer and know the difficulties that the devs have to face with new hardware, hence, like i said, to test a console, compare exclusives.... i have both the consoles, and love both of em... this is a unbiased opinion... MS will find a way to rip u off, but with the solid software they've got i dun mind paying.. happy to pay for Live, coz its amazing PSN vanes in comparison.... but Sony can sure make hardware, again a proven fact...... your move....

Shorter version, PS3: Better hardware (BD-ROM, Wifi, HDD, Six-Axis, Processor), whereas the PSN sucks 360: Live, better framerates, more games P.S: PS3 still needs more time, Home might be what the PS3 needs to compete with Live.... Developers can make a lot better games than what the 360 can ever play eg: Uncharted, did you know, Uncharted took 80% of the Blu-Ray.... i just love that game.... I have both and am happy with both, but in the long run, MS will need another iteration of the xbox to compete with the PS3 esp coz of the BD-ROM and the processing capabilities... The CELL is the most complex and fastest commercially developed processor that is available atm... thus, conclusion, rite now X360, in the long run (hopefully) PS3
The age old battle between the consoles... PS2 vs Xbox.... no need to go in there, lol... But Microsoft has evolved very quickly and adapted to its competitor... I agree that MS released the 360 in a hurry to get a head start in the game, and as a result, we all know what happened (RROD) but they've recovered from that, the new batch of consoles dusnt have tht problem and they've replaced most of the consoles.... Sony took their time in releasing their next gen, as a result the PS3 was a lot more stable on luanch than its counter part.... If we compare the hardware, the PS3 is a powerhouse and xbox processor is feeble compared to the PS3, plus theres the BD-ROM thing with the PS3. but the 360 has a better graphic card.... Its quite simple really, nvidea = antaliasing & ati = framerate, so over all the xbox 360 has a better frame rate than the ps3... But what i think is that when ucompare the consoles, u shld always compare the exclusives... ATM, the 360 has better exclusives..... Halo 3, GoW etc etc.... are amazing.... On the other hand... the PS3 exclusives, Haze was the biggest dissapointment, but that being said, i havent seen anything as beautiful as Uncharted on the 360, the game looks and plays beautifully, nothing on the 360 compares to it... But one game cant tip the scales... i have both the consoles... rite now, the PS3 cant touch the 360, live is better that PSN, the dashboard and other multiplayer services are far better than those offered on the PS3, and i think 40£ a yr is a small amount to pay for these facilities.. But i have faith in the PS3, we can tell that if developers put more time on the PS3, the game can be as good as uncharted.... the customizability of the PS3 is great, hdd's etc etc, MS tries to rip of off there.... Sony has made a very bold move with the PS3, and with Home coming up, it just might what the PS3 needs to get back in tha game.... but as of now, the 360 is a clear winner considering games, services, Live
