I can't believe that reviewers went nuts for Metro 2, a boring rail game with good graphics, but somehow hold Thief to higher standard. The former Thief games were better, but this isn't a 6.
Please don't make Holmes jump into the Thames from a 3rd story building... thank you for respecting the dignity of the brand. Looking good, hope to see more.
If you want more and better, go for it. If you are happy with what you have, you don't have to buy anything. So let's stop pretending like talking about this is a real intellectual exercise that people go through. People don't go for what they need but for what they want. Exposing the reality of FPS won't change that.
"Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! It wasn't my war! You asked me I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win, for somebody who wouldn't let us win!"
1- Doom 3 was a pretty mediocre for the Doom franchise
2- You'd think by the time the human race made it to Mars they would of incorporated flashlights on soldier armor, firearms or helmet...
3- When movies have disastrous endings or are just bad, no one gets up and defends them the way some do for video games...
4- Most game publishers don't give a crap about their creations, only some dedicated writers and producers do. The level of actual caring diminishes the more business people get invovled in the developement. Just look at the long list of half-assed products get sold in the gaming industry.
