Hi all! I am committed to getting at least one VR Platform from either Vive, Oculus or PlaystationVR. Although I have never tried it I am also unlikely to be able to 'test it out' before making a purchase. As much as I can be, I am sure I am going to at least enjoy the novelty of it, if not love all aspects of it. With this in mind If I want to go Vive or Oculus I would need to buy myself a new Gaming rig to run it. However I already have a PS4 and am hoping still that the PSVR Price will be a bit cheaper than Vive or Oculus on their own.
As I have not tried it would you go PSVR just to get a taster and not shed out for new PC Rig and the VR product until I know it is something for me with the (hopefully) Cheaper option of PSVR or if I want a 'True VR Experience' shall I plum for Vive or Oculus with a new rig and to say 'to hell with the expense' and get the best experience?
Now. If it comes down to a choice between Vive and Oculus - looking beyond games, which Platform do you think is most likely to have more broader support (I'm thinking the possibility of Virtual Tourism or at least programmes where you can wander the Pyramids or Petra or something like that or that 'something unique' like the option to watch live sports events in VR as if you where there at the touchline/front row seats where you are static but can move your head or something like that (Do you think this is even possible with these first Generation of VR devices?)
Sorry I know this is going to be a 'it's up to you at the end of that day' type response but I would just like others opinions iif anyone is thinking like me on some of these topics.
Thanks all!
