One last thing, i'm not sure why Nintendo did not opt for a DX11 gpu..even low end, as the Wii U wil be using a DX10.

fyi: The X360 and PS3 both use dx9 only, and the current high end pc gpu's use DX11.

The Wii U sucess will rely heavily on it's controller feature, as you can be sure the next consoles from MS/Sony will be using more Ram/more current gpu's w/DX11 and can run top engine's in 1080p.

btw: Sony's rumor of it's PS4 can handle 4K HDTV's is bs, as only a sli/crossfire pc setup, can handle those visuals. Unless Sony is set to release a $800 console in late 2013, that is not possible. MS rumor of a crossfire dual setup, would handle 1080p at 60fps, and they can do so with using lower cost gpu's. (ie-->/2 GTX560 Ti's)

They list every gpu possible, so it's good to compare to the X360's and PS3's(Nvidia 7800).

In a nutshell:

-WiiU's GPU has a bit more then 2X the power in it's GPU then the Xbox360/Ps3's gpu's.

-Add in 2X the total Ram as well.

So expect 720p with higher settings for cross-platform games, and 1080p for only the simplist of graphic engines.

One thing Nintendo has not mentioned is that if it's one gpu that powers both the main visuals and the controller visuals, or does the controller have it's own gpu?

(btw: I have a WiiU on pre-order for it's exclusives, just like the other consoles. For cross platform games i go with the pc version, as i can max them out in 1080p @ 60fps. Trust me, it won't be easy for MS/Sony to cramp the cpu/gpu needed inside a small console unit, as it will be costly and run very..very hot))

It depends,as Resistance tries to do different things with it's core, then the norm fps. Restance is more unique then Killzone..which to me felt like a modern day Doom. And being i'm a pc gamer as well, Resistance is alot more like HL in it's approach, while Killzone is more like Quake.(without the great mp).

Killzone 2 & 3 are more polished, but Resistance is deeper and takes more chances.

Being a multi-platform gamer, there are certain fp series's that any pc gamer should check out, such as Halo(of course), Resistance, and Killzone, to name a few.

And for me, i prefer to play my pc games with a X360 controller on a big screen. My biggest trouble playing a X360/PS3 game is going from 1080p maxed everything at 60fps, to 720p low settings and 30fps, of these consoles

Until seen MS push the Kinect and Sony the Move, i knew a new pc was a must late 2010.

And i love it, but thankfully i use the MS 360 controller for all pc games(but ME3..which i had to deal with the X360 instead, since pc=no gamepad for ME3) so my wrist is not a total mess while gaming.

My point: -Playing the X360 version of BF3, i had a 1.5 to 1 ratio, but on the pc version it's a lame .50 to 1 ratio.

And that's with adjusting the pc controller to near mouse level.

But still, it does not help much, i'm getting raped by mouse/kyb users on the pc version. But i'd rather die looking good(pc) rather then play well looking ugly(consoles).

It's a FACT, kybd/mouse users would destroy consoles users, in any FP game.

Sounds about right, but i'd expect 6-8GB of unified Ram. or if didicated vram is used then 2GB(which is enough for 1080p for most situations) and 4GB of main Ram.

The gpu sounds fitting, as the 7970 runs at lower heat then NVidia's equal(although i like nvidia's features more, such as 3D vision and physx), and the main thing is this gpu will handle 1080@ 60fps, max settings.

I do think they opt for a 6 core cpu, at the least, as i don't see a near parrallel move in cpu power.(since the 360 uses a tri core).

I see these specs:

ATI 7970

6 core CPU

6-8 GB of unified Ram

BR Drive

and some sort of SSD, as i doubt they go cloud only.

@Beerz101 Same here BF3 on pc and MW3 on X360, since MW3 will probably be alot like Crysis 2, in that it's a X360 port over to pc. While BF3 is being developed on the pc first, then downgraded(alot) to the consoles. Let's be honest, the consoles will not give BF3's engine justice, as that 10 min gameplay was in 1080p with hq textures. However, while i'm a pc gamer(and console gamer) with a solid pc rig, there is not much that shows off the pc besides Metro2033(average game) and The Witcher.(great rpg) Actually Crysis1 is still one of the best looking games on the pc, and that was a 2007 release. You have to be nuts(or rich) to build a pc rig just for BF3, but if you have a solid rig, pre-order this now!. Also, both play so differently, especially online as BF was always about teamplay and classes.

Here's what i'd like to see at E3, being realistic(ie..GTA5 is not coming anytime soon). -Deus Ex human rev. (hopefully in game vid's. The original was one of the best games ever) -Crysis 2 (the best looking game this gen, bank on it) -Fallout: New Vegas (playable) -Gears of War 3 (playable) -Infamous 3 announcment and vid's (hopefully this time it will be a true open world) -Mafia 2 (fully playable) -Halo:Reach (playable sp campaign) -Killzone 3 announcment (with real in game vid's) -Fable 3 (playable and this time it really lives up to expectations) -Mass Effect 3 announcent (with vid's) -R:FOM 3 annoouncment (with vid's) -COD BO (heck it's COD..) -Both Natal and Move, having games that the hardcore gamer cares about. And finally... An annoucement that Shenmue 3 is in development.
