I was thinking, do you think 2 GB of RAM is just right or too low? Should i increase it to 3GB?

Or what about the Hard Drive...should i increase it to 250GB?

i would get a non-glossy widescreen instead of the glossy widescreen, probably save some money. lol just kidding

looks good, wish my laptop was that good. did you get the free 3 year warranty?

Yeah, i want my laptop to be safe for at least 3 years hehe. Do you think i should also get the Accidental Damage and LoJack Theft protection?

...with Dell.

I'm planning to buy a Dell XPS M1530 and i wanted to know what do you guys think about it so far.

Specs:

-Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.2 GHz/800Mhz FSB, 4MB cache)

- Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch LCD (1280 x 800) & 2.0 MP camera

- 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz (2 dimms)

- 160 GB 5400 rpm SATA Hard Drive

- 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

- 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

This laptop isn't meant for hardcore gaming, i just wanted it to be powerfull enought to play Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and other future adventure games.

Do you think it's good enought? If not, what modification would you do to it?

well, it doesn't work.

And the strange thing is that VLC can play any video file and doesn't have problems with codecs, but suddenly...it doesn't play videos any more.

If i have a wild guess, i'll think the problem is with Windows XP itself, somehow i deleted something very important that used to play videos. The thing is...what i deleted?

I did a disk cleanup and now i can't watch the clips i had in my PC with any program. Windows Media Player, Quicktime, VLC, Real nor Div can't run a clip.

So, where is the problem? do you think i accidentaly deleted some codecs?
